Government Takeover: Oh, So Close

Heady Days For The Patient Evolutionaries During a recent trip to Europe, I was reminded of a fascinating fact. The great cathedrals and buildings of the Old World were such monstrous undertakings that no single generation could complete them. The guy with the vision for the great cathedral would get a start, hand it down to his son, who'd hand it down to his son, and often the guy who lived a hundred years later was the one to realize the vision of the original designer.

The same is happening today, but in reverse.

It has taken over a hundred years, but the progressives have patiently handed down their vision, too, through the generations. But instead of a vision of edification, it's a vision of evolutionary destruction - destruction of the constitutional republic that is America - destruction of the greatest free-enterprise opportunity-generating machine the world has ever known.

The Federal Reserve, for instance, has been a great tool for the progressives. We all think it's a government organization, but what it really is would surprise most Americans. It's a now-international cartel of huge financial institutions designed to do exactly the opposite of what it claims to do: to concentrate global power in the hands of the few monied interests who think they know what's best for the rest of us. And it started almost exactly a century ago.

And what's the Fed up to these days? Only systematically destroying the dollar. The recent "quantitative easing," shadowed by the excitement over the previous day's midterm elections, will help dilute the currency beyond recognition. Slowly. Surely. Just the way progressives have always dreamed: not a bloody revolution, but an evolution away from the founding principles that made this country great.

It's like the story of the boiled frog. You put a frog in a pan of cool water, he's happy. You turn up the water's temperature one degree, he doesn't even notice it. Another degree, same thing. Eventually the water might get warm enough to make the frog uncomfortable, but he just gets used to it. That seems easier than exerting the energy it'd take to jump out of the pan.

Before he knows it, the frog has boiled to death.

The midterm elections were promising. Maybe the frog is stirring. Maybe, in America, we're thinking about exerting the energy it'll take to jump out of the hot water we find ourselves in. But if you're waiting for the new congress to save you, you're probably going to boil.

Start a business - own your own income stream. Get in shape - take personal responsibility for your own vitality, so you don't have to rely on the government's idea of medical care. And get an education about what's really going on in the global economy. Whatever you think you know, you don't know enough to save your estate from boiling away before your very eyes.

The early progressives haven't lived to see it... but I don't think they ever dreamed they would. Instead, they've succeeded through their disciples, and they have beaten us from beyond the grave. Soon the economic depression that's coming will engulf us all, and only a few wise people (those preparing for it NOW) will prosper.

Jump, America. Jump now.

Re: Can someone explain Search engine optimization to me? Re: Can someone explain Search engine optimization to me? - Hi, Ask yourself, "What is the goal of a search engine like Google?" A search engine's goal is to provide the most related (or best) web page results when someone searches. Do you think people are searching for "Auction Cars Government" or "Government Car Auction." In fact type those keywords into Google with the quotation marks. You will find that Google gives different results for each keyword phrases. Granted you get many of the web pages ranking the same but there is a difference. My answer is, use "Government Car Auction" or even "Government Seized Car Auction" because that is what people are searching for. That is how the majority of the indexed pages use. That is what makes sense when you read the phrase. Jeff

Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals - [quote="Alan Mater":1q4mpk8g][quote:1q4mpk8g] This is what happens when the Government gets involved and puts its nose where it shouldn't. Let the market correct itself. There is no reason for the Government to bail everyone out. If the businesses, mainly banks, weren't corrupted with greed, this wouldn't have happened. They are and it did, so let them dwindle away and pay for their mistakes. That's what any small business has to do. Why should they be any different. They have gotten away with it for over 10 years! Surely they should have seen this coming. [/quote:1q4mpk8g][/quote:1q4mpk8g] The same thing happened in the early 30's that's why the law to prevent these practices was put in place. But, during the Clinton administration people decided that eliminating that law would boost the economy - once again, that didn't work. Kind of reminds you of the saying that people who don't consider history are bound to repeat it. Chris
