Need Flexibility? Start Your Business In Cyberspace

Internet Entrepreneurs Can Call Their Own Shots In these uncertain times of "economic reform," entrepreneurs need all the flexibility they can get. If you're thinking of starting a business as a hedge against uncertainties in the economy (the job market, the financial markets... and any other market you can think of), congratulations. That's a good move.

Think about the flexibility an internet business would offer you in four key areas:

Investment. When your granddad felt the entrepreneurial calling, he had a major investment to come up with, no matter what business he decided to start. You've got more flexibility. You can go big or go small; you can get into business with a surprisingly low investment and only invest more heavily as you "prove the concept" and bring in profits that can be reinvested in the business.

Income. Depending on your appetite for investment of time, energy, focus, and money, you can practically dial your personal income up or down with a home-based internet business.

Intensity. Does your energy ebb and flow? Again, you can work like heck when you're inspired, and dial it back when you have other things to do. You will want to have some consistent investment of your time and energy, but again, you have much more flexibility in your world of "click-and-order" than previous generations of entrepreneurs had in their world of "brick-and-mortar."

Itinerary. Like to travel? Cyberspace is everywhere, and that means you can do business anywhere if you're doing it online.

And here are a couple of bonus considerations: Interest (you can literally make an online business out of anything you're interested in) and Inspiration (find a good platform, and a good community of fellow internet entrepreneurs, and you'll constantly find new sources of inspiration to help you drive your business).

Consider starting an online business, even if it's a side venture (especially at first). As flexible as today's opportunities are, you can hardly go wrong.

Exclusive: Interview with Results Exclusive: Interview with Results - Hi Forum Members, I'm helping start up a Business Coaching and Consulting company here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (a Subsidiary of RSC Business in Los Angeles). As a Research and Development Intern I am required to practice my listening and interview skills by surveying Small and Medium Businesses on thier Business. This Survey is designed by RSC Business to also assist the Business being interviewed more insight into their own business. I am looking to interview about 30 businesses across North America over the span of 3 months. At the end of these interviews I will be publishing a report of the results and they will be made available for free to the Interviewees. The Report data will include responses from a minimum of 100 interviews. I would like to extend this opportunity to members of the Forum. If you would like to have this short 20-30 minute interview conducted on your Business and you reside in North America please send me an email or PM. Please contact me at andy[at]jvprosperity[dot]com to arrange our interview and to get free access to the results when they are published.
