Who Says There Are No Jobs?

You Might BE One Of The Jobs Obama's Creating! Despite record levels of unemployment, we all know, of course, that our president is on the case. He's the Jobs President... if you don't believe it, just ask him, or any of his sycophantic Demediacrats! But only those who are sufficient Biblical scholars to have heard of Job (with a capital "J") understand that it's really a case of mispronunciation of the vowel.

The president is not actually trying to create "jobs," you silly! He's working hard to create Jobs!

You should have seen this coming. Never trust any American president who says "nuclear" instead of "nucular" just because it's correct, or who consistently uses the U.S. pronunciation of "Afghanistan" but insists on referring to its eastern neighbor as "Pocky Stahn." Pronunciation matters!

You thought President Obama was creating jobs - the things where you get up, jump in the truck, and go off yonder to work all day (and get paid) (and pay taxes). You were obvioiusly wrong. You should have realized this when you saw his first half-dozen "plans" for creating those things, and how he has ignored every recommendation on employment by every committee he has formed. So are you crazy enough to be comforted by the assertion that his next plan is right around the corner?

No, it's Jobs the president is creating. For the uninitiated, Job was one of those wealthy "millionaires and billionaires" in Biblical times who had far more livestock than he needed, and actually had to employ others to help run his operation. He had excellent tents (plural) and (according to reports) hot daughters. So the devil asked God for permission to smite Job with misfortune, in the hope that he'd change his affiliation from "God-loving" to "God-bashing."

God said "Bring it, Devil. No way you can rock m'man Job," or something to that effect. The devil then took everything Job had worked for (sound familiar?), and even (by some reports) shamed him, calling him a scared hick who was too unsophisticated to do anything more than cling to his swords and religion.

Whatever. Job never bashed God, and eventually the devil gave up and left. Some say he went down to Georgia. And God gave Job his stuff back.

Obviously I'm not saying the president is the devil. He's actually a pretty good guy, however ideologically misguided, who is trying his best to do his job (get re-elected). No, I'm just saying that the president has surrounded himself with unsavory characters who want to take everything you have, and that perhaps the devil is one of Mr. Obama's teleprompter authors.

Don't expect a job from the Jobs President. Expect to be afflicted like Job. And expect to need the faith of Job to get through this, especially if you decide to tack on four more years.

Re: What If Steve Jobs Hadn't Returned To Apple In 1997? Re: What If Steve Jobs Hadn't Returned To Apple In 1997? - Thanks for sharing with us Yinko. Steve Jobs is definitely a visionary. Not only his products are innovative in a technological sense, but he's managed to turn a tech-company's products into a lifestyle.... a lifestyle!! [quote:zfqoq43n]Fast Forward to today. Apple has the sexiest products in the business: iMacs, Macbooks, iPhones, iPods and more.[/quote:zfqoq43n] I think not only tech would be different (music players and phones), but ways we can think of marketing and branding. What Steve Jobs did was of course no easy task for the smaller businesses, but he did start somewhere. What I did not know was that Apple is worth about as much as Google. How do you think Apple accomplish what they did? In terms of strategy wise? If you could advice Steve on one thing, what would it be?
