This article will give you all the tools you need to streamline your ordering process and save your business money. Use our 4 essential guidelines to help keep track of what you are ordering, how much you are using and how often you repurchase the items. You can use this information to create a master list that you can use to ensure that you are always fully stocked.

A productive office doesn't only consist of computers, printers and furniture. An essential element is the everyday office supplies, handy to keep your office running smoothly. From the little things like pens, to the usually forgotten stuff like bleach to sanitize the bathrooms.

Inefficient ordering, wasted trips to your local office supply store weekly / monthly can be eradicated by placing your orders online. Some of the benefits to ordering online are free delivery and a bigger variety of products. Another function which I love is the ability to save your cart - Officesupplygroup.com lets you navigate away from the site and come back later and add more products.

1. Supplies you use everyday

Keeping items you use several times a day within arm's reach can up your productivity by eliminating unnecessary trips to the supply closet. To avoid a cluttered desk invest in a good desk organizer.

2. Which supplies should you hide in a desk drawer?

Items that you use only once a day or weekly. Rolls of tape, Staples refills etc. should be kept out of view as they can create a cluttered look.

3. What to keep in the supply closet?

Rarely used items are the items that you use monthly or less often. Sort and label your supply closet. An empty space is a great indicator that you are running low on or have run out of something- however when your supply closet is not labeled you'll be hard-pressed to remember what you've run out of. Eliminate the guessing by labeling your closet. Invest in an economical label printer - clearly printed labels are easy on the eyes and give a more organized look to your supply closet.

4. The best advice would be to have an office supplies master list

Compile a list that fits your company. This list will help you keep track of what you are ordering, how much you are using and how often you repurchase the items. Once you have this information you will have a master list that you can use to ensure that you are always fully stocked.

Re: How to Promote Your Business Online Re: How to Promote Your Business Online - Good info ZekeLL, but I'm confused about this one. Could you explain it in further detail when you have time? Alliance Marketing Let’s go back to the business attorney example. Who are his clients? Mostly startups. What do startups need? Well, maybe a website, office space, office supplies, and startup money. He could have arrangements with web designers, office space owners, office supplies vendors, and investors.
Re: Interrealtionship between financial statements Re: Interrealtionship between financial statements - Hi there, It is not necessary to post each transaction in all of the separate financial statements. In any given transaction, you will post an equal amount of debits and credits to the associated accounts. An example would be if you were to write a check for $500 to office depot for office supplies. The posted transaction would be: DEBIT Office Supplies $500.00 CREDIT Bank Account $500.00 Once the transaction is posted, it will automatically show up on the appropriate financial statement report. In the above example, you would find the Bank Account transaction on the balance sheet and the office supplies transaction on the profit and loss statement. I hope this is clear! Please let me know if you have any other bookkeeping questions. I would be happy to help, Stephanie Horne
Re: What do think you about these statisitcs? Re: What do think you about these statisitcs? - [quote="Sab3awy":uve2pm9e]social networks are not just for fun. Say Twitter, I usually check it to find the updates about major news through it. So, I think it is not much of "wasting time"[/quote:uve2pm9e] Social media is a great way to break up the day in the office in my opinion. Employees can take their mind off of the monotonous work they are doing just for a few minutes. In my opinion I don't think they are wasting time at all. Consider this, would you rather block these types of sites and have your employees work all day like a drone? Or would you rather have these sites available and perhaps see an increase in productivity because your employees are working happier and in not in such a mindless state?

I am from Toronto and I would like to list a Toronto office on the website. Does anyone know where I might be able to use someone's office mailing address? Just to pick up mail once in a while, although mail will very rarely be sent there. Any ideas on how to get around this? Many thanks Jamie
