There are not only best-selling Clickbank products to sell on your own, but also rewards for referrals, such as referring a website visitor to a promotion or product by clicking on a link from your domain. All parties can benefit from good advertising campaigns as the vendor gets free advertising that continues to generate and earns money for the affiliate marketers.

While you don’t have to purchase the products you are affiliated with, it does help to be passionate and have some knowledge about what is being sold. Here are a few more affiliate marketing tips:

1. Choose High Quality Products You Believe in: Promote affiliate products on your site that make sense and that you would consider purchasing. This might include physical products such as DVDs or CDs, or information products, like downloadable books and coaching programs.

2. Choose Your Names Wisely: This applies to both the domain name for a product you’re selling and your Clickbank nickname. People buying products from your affiliate marketing efforts will see your Clickbank name when they make a purchase, so use caution when you choose it. While you don’t need to spend a lot of time, make sure any names you choose will not cause a customer to click away.

3. Pay Attention to Vendor Suggestions: Often, the vendor will share keywords or other selling techniques for a product, so listen and take the advice.

4. Use a Solid Business Strategy: Like any product you’re selling, make sure you have a plan and revise it as you go along. Things to include: article marketing to gain exposure, using SEO keywords, posting in forums, blogging in a niche, and social media strategies. Things to avoid: spamming and negative advertising campaigns.

5. Check Your Links on a Regular Basis: If you have a few of the best-selling Clickbank products, but your links are broken or down, you’re leading visitors down the wrong path. Guide them to a sale, by making live and accurate links top priority.

8. Network: Just like with any business or marketing strategy, networking to sell a product can pay off. You can use things such as guest blogs, contests, and commenting on relevant blogs.

9. Give it Time: The first time you do affiliate marketing (and any time you start affiliating new products) it might take some time before your efforts translate into sales. Don’t expect mind-blowing results right away, but do give it time to simmer.

10. There Is Not a One-Size-Fits All Strategy: Different products tend to sell in different ways and some of the best-selling Clickbank products change over time, so pay attention to market trends and be ready to change direction, if necessary.

There are pros and cons to Affiliate Marketing, just as there are to any business. As has been suggested, he best policy is to proceed with caution and do some research before jumping in. As Carol has recommended, this topic thread in the EvanCarmichael.com forum is the ideal place to ask questions and seek further input on available Affiliate Marketing programs. If a person is serious about building an online business and is interested in Affiliate Marketing plans, they should approach the process as they would any other form of business. Research, ask questions, compare opportunities, participate in forums on online business and Affiliate Marketing. GT :-]
Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - Hi GT Affiliate Marketing is one of the easier ways to get started making money online, but it does take quite a bit of work before you see any great results as you have to keep promoting constantly. It does teach you one hell of a lot about all aspects of Internet Marketing though as you will need to learn how to write and submit articles, create and maintain a blog, social networking is a great help to affiliates too..the list goes on and on. Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - You made some very good points here Jeff and I agree with you, Affiliate Marketing should not be something that you concentrate all your efforts into. As i said earlier I have learned a lot with Affiliate Marketing and continue to do so, and it has helped me tremendously to understand what I am going to have to do in my chosen niche(s). I am also interested in creating an ebook one day and am glad that I can finally contribute to someone who is, maybe not so up to date in an area that I have some knowlege of.
