Get Consistent Results with Consistent Action

There are three things you can do to get consistent results in your business, if you want consistent results you need to take consistent action. Implement these easy action steps and get consistency working for your business.

1. Consistent marketing activity I'm making a huge assumption here but you have a great business idea/product/service right? Then you need to tell your ideal market that you exist. Marketing is an activity that needs to occur on a consistent basis so that your customers know you exist and can buy from you. Most business owners don't engage in marketing activity for three reasons:

A. They don't know the what works and the how to's

B. They think it's too expensive and

C. They want instant results or expect one activity to do all the work

Consistent marketing activity contains:

2. Consistent sales process

Sales is an everyday activity, to transform your business your sales process needs to be consistent. You will need to consistently take action on the following for a successful sales process:

3. Consistent networking

When I first discovered the term over 15 years ago for what I had naturally always done - networking it was from networking expert Robyn Henderson she had just published a book called "Be Seen, Get Known, Move Ahead". For me that statement says it all, and today we have the power of social media to make it even easier.

Many people mistake networking as a individual activity to simply meet people and/or contacts, when in fact networking is a powerful and valuable asset to your business. If you want to transform your results and get consistent then you must view networking as an integral asset of the business and "Be Seen, Get Known, Move Ahead". If you have difficulty with how to network then take time to learn - take it from me it's very easy and can be very rewarding. Networking is a bridge to sales results!

Which of these three activities can you take immediate action on to get consistent results into your business?

Advertisement that sales Advertisement that sales - Plan your marketing programme. It should include commitment to capital resources. If you run a small business, you aren't likely to have a generous enough advertising budget that will allow you to run costly branding or campaign ads. Every advertisement you run must convey to your prospect a solid offer and attractive reasons to act quickly, and result in increased sales and an enhanced image of your company. Good advertising always pays its own way through increased sales and profits, improved cost-effectiveness, reduced selling costs and shortened selling cycles. A useful formula that will help you increase the effectiveness of your advertising efforts is A-I-D-A, which stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. When creating an advertisement, always remind yourself that it should: (1) capture your prospects' Attention, (2) arouse their Interest in your offer, (3) create their Desire for your product or service, and (4) provide a powerful spur to Action, that is, turn your prospect into buyers. Remember, bad advertising is an unproductive expense, and good advertising is an investment in future profits!
Re: Watch What you Read Re: Watch What you Read - I agree. i believe more video's should be like Jeffery Gitomers video's under his Sales rant. They are typically not more than 3 minutes. His model seems to be; 1. Main Message (or Point) 2. Example 3. Next steps to put it into Action take away the extra "blabber" and you've got viewers that will come back.
Run a major competition Run a major competition - You beat me to the punch LoveInventions! I was just on my way to post this! The idea is simple: run a competition for a major prize to get people posting. In this case Darren put up a $729 Nikon DSLR up for grabs as the top prize. The winner was selected randomly and each post you wrote gave you another chance to win. [quote:1nc4sv0r]The Goal - the aim of the exercise was simple. To sign up new members to my forum and increase page views. My hope was to have a bumper month but also get new members signed up to have an ongoing impact on overall activity going forward.[/quote:1nc4sv0r] [quote:1nc4sv0r]Results: Traffic - Over the full month traffic was increased 66.7%.[/quote:1nc4sv0r] [quote:1nc4sv0r]Results: New Members - Recruiting new members to the forum was another goal of the competition. We’d had an influx in January of 1803 new sign ups as a result of a previous smaller competition but since had been around the 1200 per month. April however saw a boost in numbers by an extra 2823 members.[/quote:1nc4sv0r] [quote:1nc4sv0r]Results: Activity - Another bonus related to increased traffic is the increases in user activity on the forum. Here’s the increase in new ‘threads’ to the forum (up from the 1500’s to just over 4000 for the month). And here is the increase in new posts (up from 1400 per month to over 43000 for the month).[/quote:1nc4sv0r] [quote:1nc4sv0r] The Downside So far it’s sounding fairly rosy isn’t it. Increases in traffic, members, activity and even earning are all good. However there was two downsides. 1. Moderation Workload - I have an amazing team of moderators to DPS but the month of April was the hardest that they’ve ever worked. I totally underestimated the extra load upon them in setting up this competition. It has made me reconsider how I run future competitions. 2. Impact upon Quality of Reader Interaction - over all the increased activity of the site brought in some wonderful new members who are interacting on the site with genuine interaction. However a small number of new members were just there for the competition - even though I made it clear that spammy entries wouldn’t win. This impacted moderators workloads but also the overall morale on the site a little. I think we managed to contain it but again - next time I run a competition it’ll not be based upon post numbers but rather some sort of quality level of interaction.[/quote:1nc4sv0r] What do you guys think? Is it worth testing out? Considering we already give out over $1,000 in month prizes, what would be the ultimate prize that we award at the end of the competition?
Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategies Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategies - I think the number 1 strategy to succeed is to "Take Action". Too many start and never follow through. Get caught up in the stomach moment (having a feeling of making 1,000's and seeing others do it, but you not doing anything to achieve). To make it easier on others, you need to have a game plan as well. How much work you will put in daily, how much it will cost, what the average conversions are, how much traffic you will need, your advertising sources, and others, but just a plan.
