How to attract more customers

The reason is so obviously simple…without customers, your business will fail.

Running a business is not easy. A staggering 80% of businesses do not survive their first year – and even then 80% of the businesses that initially succeed are out of business by their 5th birthday.

The key to attracting new customers is to develop a marketing plan that establishes a solid foundation for all of your marketing efforts. Although the premise seems simple, the details have a tendency to get in the way.

Many business owners never create an action plan to make their marketing strategy happen. These owners know they need to attract new customers to their business, but sadly, their marketing strategies are most likely flawed.

There are literally thousands of marketing books available, including dozens of resources for attracting customers and “systems” that promise to help business owners grow their company and increase profits.

While there is good information available out there, you can spend thousands of dollars and an infinite number of hours trying to understand these “systems” and their benefit to your business.

There are also marketing experts and advertising agencies that can help you increase your profits to any level you desire. But beware, these “experts” will take your money, and NEVER guarantee your results.

Professional advice can be expensive, but start-up mistakes are even more costly. In the long run, a bit of professional advice can help steer you away from the expensive mistakes that most newbies make. So how do you find worthwhile, professional advice without blowing your budget?

If you do not have a huge marketing budget, wouldn’t you like to find that one valuable resource that can help you sort through the vast amount of information and cut through the fluff to give you need the advice you need to run a successful business?

Re: HOW DO I STAND OUT FROM THE REST? Re: HOW DO I STAND OUT FROM THE REST? - Attracting customers towards business is always being a difficult task. Top brands always try to attract customers and make some unique TV commercials for marketing purposes. You need to work on the same pattern. Keep an eye on your competitor and use unique, new or out of the box marketing techniques to divert the consumer’s attention towards your business.
Re: Ideas For Business Re: Ideas For Business - Thanks for all the support! jvprosperity, 1. We are hoping to start this Friday Oct 24th 2008 2. For marketing ideas, we were thinking of placing a big bristle board sign next to us, to attract customers and also give them an idea that we are trying to sell snacks. 3. We are selling snacks and offering live entertainment. 4. Entertainment is to attract, but they might also reward us for entertaining if they please. The prices for the snacks we are selling may vary, considering we will be selling different snacks. I will update everyone, once Stas and I are certain. Hopefully you guys can give us some support that day too!
Re: Sales with no start up fees. Re: Sales with no start up fees. - What really attracts customers is sales, but I don't mean sale on everything. Just on a couple of products. For example you make different sales for 1 or 2 products that lasts for a week or two. Make sure to make a sale on something you need to get rid of. Having sales on different products every couple of weeks will attract many different customers if they see there's different variety. Of course this depends on how big the business is, but try something like that see if it works. Hope this sort of helps.
Re: Ideas For Business Re: Ideas For Business - Hi, I'm Lucy's partner for this project and I think I came up with an idea of how to attract people. Sure selling is one thing, but heres something that definitely attracts people and thats charity! Everywhere you look today, even in the subway their selling pizzas that cost much higher then what you could buy at the store, but mostly people buy them because they know their money would go to charity and that makes them feel good and makes them think that they have just made a difference. I still have not figured out the percentage but if we donate like 25% of the money earned to charity for example, more people would buy. Charity is used in business to help people out but as well as attract more customers to their business. I know this might sound like a stupid idea but hey you can never know for sure until you try your ideas. Thats what business is all about.
