YOUR OWN INCOME ON YOUR OWN HOURS DO YOU SEEK AN INDEPENDENT INCOME working your own hours without the hassles of a boss, set working hours, and having to "bow down" to the top honcho every time he/she passes? If you do, look over these ideas:

*One BWB (Beginning Wealth Builder) reader earns a 10% commission on carpets he sells to home owners--both single- and multi-family dwellings. Yet he, as he says, "never touches the carpet, never even sees it before it's installed"--he has an installer who picks up the carpet at the delivery point, takes it to the job site, and puts it down. This BWB sells "three to four jobs a week" earning a nice commission.

"Anyone can do it," he says.

*Another BWB places credit-card accounts with merchants needing this capability--it will improve sales by 33% in the usual business. He works his own hours as an ISA--Independent Sales Agent, representing several banks seeking new merchants for their credit-card services. Since some banks still have liberal lending requirements, this BWB can take new businesses, bank turn-downs, non-storefront businesses, credit problems, mail-order and telemarketing--almost every business can be considered and sold--at a nice commission.

HOW CAN YOU GET IN ON SUCH AN INCOME? It's easier than you might think! You just take these simple steps to position yourself for wealth in your own business, starting in just hours:

1. Decide what you like to do. If it's face-to-face selling, consider one or more of the businesses we mentioned above. If you don't enjoy face-to-face selling, consider mail-Order, export-import, licensing, and similar businesses 2. Find a firm that offers you an Independent Contractor status when you promote, and sell their products or services. Be sure the commission you're paid is a generous one. It should be at least 40% on sales up to $300; beyond this amount the percent commission will go down as the sales price rises. Why? Because as the price rises the work you have to do is less. Thus, a 10% commission on a $25,000 sale = $2500, a nice piece of change 3. Work out an arrangement and start part-time selling. If you have a good product or service you should be able to make big sales soon, bringing in significant commissions to you WORKING ON A COMMISSION BASIS with NO inventory, NO rent, NO payroll, NO national ad cost, and NO regular hours can be great for your bank account and the inside of your head. Try it--you'll like it!
