Internet Marketing: Does it Give You the Time You Want?
Internet Marketing is basically earning a living online. Some people do very well at it, actually earning a substantial amount of money. Others may make some extra money that compliments their day job. However, most people do not make any money and most even end up losing money. The failure rate with any type of start up businesses is very high. So what is it that makes people want to try an online business?
Many people equate owning their own business with having the time to do what they want when they want. After all they are now the boss and can do what they want when they want. Of course their business will likely suffer and eventually they will not have a business, but they did want they wanted.
Being in business is not about time freedom. It's about earning a living. And to do that requires work. In reality, owning your own Internet Marketing business means you will actually be working more than you did when you worked for someone. It's just one of the facts of being in business for yourself. It takes time and lots of it.
The one benefit with regards to time is that you now have control of your time. This means that if you have to take time off for whatever reason, you usually can. But, you must realize that any time away from your business will certainly have to be made up. So this means you will put in some extra time in the evenings or early morning, or even on the weekend.
If you have been led to believe that being in business, especially an online business, is easy and you will have all the time in the world to do what you want, think again. You are being mislead. We all want to have that time freedom, but for the majority of us it just isn't a reality. We all have to work, either for someone else or ourselves.
So, if you are thinking about starting an Internet Marketing busines, or any business for that matter, do not think that it will give you the time freedom to do as you wish. Be prepared to be working many more hours than you did before. That is if you plan on building a successful business. We all have the same amount of time in a day and we have to use it wisely. If not, we end up wasting our time, and time is too precious to do that.
