Backing Up Your Files Has Never Been Easier

Each and every day people just like you think that there important files are safe and sound and they simply do not need any type of serious backup in place. Why the secure feeling? Maybe they think that their files are safe because they have a new computer. Perhaps they think that because they do a once a week backup on an external hard drive that they are immune to any problems. However, it is this sort of thinking that often leaves many people with a blank stare as they realize their files are gone forever once disaster has struck. Disaster can strike in more ways than just your hard drive crashing and just because your computer is new doesn't mean that the hard drive will not crash. Besides a hard drive crash there is theft, fire, flood, and any of another multitude of factors that can wipe out your important files once and for all. Fortunately for you, backing up your files has never been easier.

Now there are many quality online backup companies that safeguard all of your important computer files and can restore them for you no matter when you may need them. This is important because you never really know what life will throw your way and when it will do so.

Most of these online backup services cost less than five bucks a month to have in place and the best part about them is that once you install the software one time and do your first initial backup there is nothing to think about on your part ever again. These programs are designed to run in the background of your computer and as long as your computer is on, the programs will look for files that need to be backed up.

Files that do get backed up are encrypted once, and sometimes even twice, so that they remain safe from anyone who may try to hack into them. If someone was successful at hacking the system and getting to your files, they would be left with nothing but a jumbled mess that didn't make any sense. Only someone who has your user name and password would be able to access your files.

If something should happen to your files all you have to do is have another computer with internet access and in no time at all your files are able to be accessed and restored to 100 percent no matter what time of day it is. Even on holidays you can get back your valuable files if you need to do so.

Backing up your files has truly never been easier to do. With the cost effectiveness and the ease of doing so it is almost as if you are asking for it if you decide not to back up your files online. While you may not think that anything could possibly ever happen to your files, think of how distraught you might be if something did. Don't take the chance when online backup is a readily available solution.

Re: Specific Strategies To Raise PR Levels? Re: Specific Strategies To Raise PR Levels? - Actually PR (Page Rank) is not very important at all these days. The only real exception is if you are trying to sell links. But it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. If all other things are equal then the higher PR site will rank higher. However, it's not very important for the most part. But if you do want to increase it then all you have to do is get more backlinks from sites with higher PR. Easier said than done but that's how you do it.
Re: What works for you? Re: What works for you? - Hi Yinka, I work better under pressure of deadlines when I am doing something for other people. However, I like to have the leisure to develop my own projects. The first case is what Stephen Covey calls a "Quadrant 1" activity ("Important and urgent") whereas the second case is a "Quadrant 2" activity ("Important, not urgent"). We should aim to make as much time as possible for Q2 activities so that we can develop our own projects. Easier said than done!
Organization Tips Organization Tips - HI Guys, I thrive in a well organized space. At our office we use coloured files and folders for specific topics. Yellow for client, Blue for Internal, Green for Financial and Red for Sales Information. Its a great way to find stuff fast and easy. The other thing I did a few years ago was hire a professional organizer. She spent a week at our office learning about the 'flow' of work and then helped us develop systems for managing paper and information. For example, I am a visual person which means I need to see things. All active client projects are kept in a standing file on my desk. It may not work for everyone but it works for us. Backing up your computer data is an absolute must. We run tape back-ups every night and even though it costs more, it has come in very handy on a few occassions. We also archive and store all client files once a project is complete so we always have a historic capture of everything we've done. If you want, take organization a step further and reorganize your filing system on your computer. Under each client main folder they have sub folders for correspondance, plans, status reports, financials etc. I borrowed it from my lawyer friends office. I loved that each piece of paper seemed to have a legend at the bottom of where exactly it was filed. That way, anyone can come into my office and figure out our system simply which cuts down on the amount of training. It also helps that I can shout out, bring me the network key information and everyone knows where it is. ;0) I have a great friend who is a professional organizer if anyone needs real help. She also does basements and garages!
A New Innovative Website Concept – What direction to take? A New Innovative Website Concept – What direction to take? - Hi Guys, This is my first post, after the likes of Google brought me here. So I’d like to say a quick Hi to all from Simon in the UK:) I’m a keen budding entrepreneur but am still rather new to the game and if possible I’d would be most grateful for some guidance and advice regarding a business concept I have come up with and the best way to take it to market. I have recently developed a new online business concept that fills a very substantial gap in today’s health and fitness market. I come from an IT background and after analysing the project’s requirements and features in detail I have decided that going alone on this one is simply not an option. I have spent time developing the business plan and various other supporting documentation, analysing the competition and designing prototype wireframe’s and detailed technical specifications. I know exactly how I want the site built and how it can make money, I just need to make it happen. The idea is completely scalable and had a massive global market and I could quite neatly see if fitting into Google’s or Microsoft’s online portfolio of products / services. In my mind I have a few options: 1 - Contact the likes of Microsoft / Google / Yahoo and attempt to the license the idea to them (as a sole trader) in exchange for royalties. I have already taken a little step down this road and guess what, it’s a nasty one. Microsoft refuse to sign NDA’s and will basically just run off with your idea, they also tend to partner with business compete with built solutions, rather than just entrepreneurs with business concepts (me ). 2 – Attempt to partner with a local UK based IT firm. Get them to build the site in return for equity and a share in revenues and IPR. Easier said than done I would imagine and id be lucky to find one that will do it for free. 3 – Try to scour the internet and build a team of programmers who are willing to work on the project in return for equity in the product. This could involve working with people in India / Russia etc and I’m rather concerned that an NDA protecting my idea in the initial stages wouldn’t be much use there. Communication would also be very difficult. Sorry for the long post guys I just could use some good old wise words on this one I guess. I’ve spent 3 months working on this concept and know there’s a gap in the market for it, I just need to get it there! Does anybody have any suggestions of options im missing or even better, people they recommend working with? Thanks a lot for your help. Best Regards, Simon
