Just because you may be on a budget doesn't mean that you have to have a bad looking website, quite the contrary in fact. Today the process for having a great looking website couldn't be easier. The easiest way to make a website that looks like you spent a million bucks on it by using a website builder. A website template offers even the most novice of computer users the ability to make a wonderful looking website without having to know any kind of special code writing or anything high tech like that. There is however, two different ways to go about doing so.

Here are the two ways that you can go about making a great looking website that is as easy as one, two, three utilizing templates:

1. Use a template program: When you sign up to have you website hosted a lot of hosting companies will offer you website building software for free. Take Yahoo Small Business for example. When you pay for web hosting with Yahoo, included in the price is Yahoo Sitebuilder. Sitebuilder is software that you download onto your computer and it allows you to create your own website using pre-built templates. Sitebuilder is chalk full of templates that are already laid out so that all you have to do is pick a design and plug in some text and pictures. There is even ways to add goodies like videos and music to your website if that is your desire. After a few hours of diligent work your website site is complete before you even knew what happened.

2. Use a website builder: The only problem with using a template from certain free services is the fact that anyone who wants to use that service can also use that template. While the content on your site will of course be original, the design may not be. An easy way to remedy this problem and still have the ease of using a template to create your website is to use a website builder service. These are services online that specialize in building great looking websites that are easy to use. You simply pick a template, fill in your content, add images from their image library, and arrange it all just the way you want. If you can use Microsoft Word, you can use a website builder. This of course is going to cost you some money, but still much less than having you pay someone to create you a website from scratch.

Using a website builder is by far the easiest way to create a professional looking website without having to spend tons of money or learn any special programs to do so. With the simplicity of website builders these days anyone, regardless of computer skill, can have a website that will help their business to thrive to great heights.

Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!
