Quickly make a business website
In today's society, it is extremely common and almost mandatory for a business to have its own website. Websites are a great way for businesses to provide customers with information, communicate with potential customers and generate new business. The most common reasons businesses drag their feet when it comes to building a websites is the lack of knowledge in the area of how to make a website. We are going to give you all the information needed to build an awesome website for your business, all within 5 minutes.
First off, the best and easiest way to build your own business website is by using a website builder. Website builders are programs that allow you to create a website without having any computer programming knowledge. Some website builders have a drag-and-drop feature, which allows users to pick a website "part", like a background or text box, and simply drag it to a page of the website. Some of the most popular website builders are Wix and CityMax.
Follow these steps to create your business website in 5 minutes:
1. Create a free account at either website builder site, Wix or CityMax.
2. Choose "create a new site" and then find a template that best suits your needs. If you feel comfortable with create a website from scratch (no template) then you may do so.
3. Customize your template with text and pictures that relate to your business. Some of the most common elements included in business websites include: contact information, "About Us" page, e-commerce store and/or product and service listing. It is important to note that businesses are very different. Look at your competitor's websites to see what they have on their website.
4. Change the colors and style of text and other elements to match the color scheme of your logo or business.
5. Once you have created a website to your liking, you will need to purchase a domain name. You can do this at GoDaddy. Find a domain name that relates to your business but hasn't been purchased by another person.
6. Go to your website at the website builder and follow the directions that relate to pointing your site to your domain. Follow these simple steps and your website will then be attached to your domain. If you don't want to purchase a domain (which are relatively cheap), you can use the domain name that the website builder generates for you.
These may seem like very general directions, but once you log on to the website builder you will see that building a business website is extremely easy. The best part about the whole process is that you can make your website as detailed as you want. You can choose to spend hours on it or literally get it up and launched in five minutes. The choice is yours- but remember, it is your business's image you are dealing with.

Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion
- Let me ask everyone a question:
Would you take a job that paid $0.00 but gave you 20% on all sales you made each month? This job required you to buy your own company clothes, company sales materials, website, car, and make you pay for phone & internet.
Would you take the job?
NO ONE would take that job; especially in today's economy. Why would you spend time & money building a business around just promoting another companies stuff?
If you already have a website & have an open spot for a banner...putting an affiliate banner might make sense. But building an entire business around promoting another company is just stupid. I am sure some people make money at it (after many struggles) but you could make more money promoting your own company, your own products, your own services.
What happens if you don't have a unique idea, product, or service? The easiest anwer is you don't start a business until you have found your niche. Save all that time you spend promoting other companies stuff and do some research until you find a better business model that produces a much higher ROI than affiliate marketing online.

Taking Your Online Business Offline?
- Hello Forum Members,
In a week and a half I have the opportunity to meet and network with local business owners. I was invited by a local radio station who is holding a local business "exhibition" where businesses and business owners can meet and network with each other.
Now, seeing as how my business is completely online, and everyone I'll be meeting owns local offline businesses, I want to find a way that I could drum up some offline business from these local businesses.
There are also some perks for just showing up, with a chance to win a $500 advertising package.
I plan to meet and network with the businesses there and find out what they do and what services they offer to the community. Since my area of "expertise" is internet marketing and website promotion, my goal is to find out if any of these businesses don't yet have a website setup. If not, I hope to collaborate with the owners and talk about the benefits of having a website can bring to their business.
If there are businesses that do have websites already, my goal is to see if there are areas where they can improve upon and reach new customers through nontraditional methods, like social media.
My overall goal is to offer these business owners consulting services where I can help them increase their bottom line through internet marketing strategies.
What do you all think about this? I know the concept isn't new and that people make money doing this stuff, but is there anything you would suggest to me so that I can make this event worthwhile and time-worthy?
I'm supposed to have business cards to take with me and hand out. So, another question I have is, what all should be on the card? As far as the radio station is concerned, my business is ReplaceYourSalary.com, and I'm registered as such. No one really knows anything about it, and looking at my site you wouldn't know what the heck I do.
I'd like to incorporate what I do with my website (affiliate marketing), with what I can do for the local businesses: like starting a website, getting more exposure to a website, setting up newsletters if they don't yet have one, affiliate marketing in which they can link out to competitors on their website and get paid per lead or per sale, etc.
Does this all make sense?
I want to design a business card that will basically have my name on it and that I'm the owner of ReplaceYourSalary.com, and here is what my business is and here is what I can do to help local businesses by taking their business online or helping them get more business from the internet, just like mine.
That's my goal and something I want to achieve when I head to the exhibition on the 30th of June.
Any thoughts, suggestions, tips, etc. are most welcomed and appreciated.
Looking forward to hearing from ya!
Bright future who start early
- You are at a pivotal point in your life. You may not realize it, but your mindset is great. Most kids your age are thrilled to get an under appreciated job working for some company to make a little spending cash. However, those who look to get into the business side early in life are usually the ones who become successful. What you do now, might not make you a rich kid, but you will pick up much more valuable experience that you can cash in, down the road.
I would suggest you learn to make websites right away. It is a valuable tool that you will benefit from. You make a little cash making websites - the more experienced you get, the more money you can make. You don't need too much money to get started - seeing as you already have access to a computer. Making a website will get you thinking about business in general and it will lead to marketing, finance, and profit.
