List Building – The Myths That Might Be Stopping You Succeed

Lists are a lot of hard work and not very efficient – hears one of the list building myths that might be stopping your succeed. Let’s explore a few more and what we can do so as not to fall in the profit sapping trap.

Building a list is hard work.
It can be but much of it is automatic now. If you sign on with a reputable autoresponder service they will manage the lists for you, build the opt in forms, give you a unique email address and give you the web site code that you need. Most of them will also back up your data, let you download your own copies as well as provide some sophisticated tracking and reporting methods. Some of the more sophisticated ones even connect you up to some payment processors so that when some one pays for one of your products they automatically get asked if they want to join your list.

Writing the ezines and emails is hard work.
Let’s face it – some people like to write and some people hate to do it. That is where good ezine directories come in. Those that like to write put thousands of articles on these directories, ready for those that hate it to use in their ezines. Now there is a good idea! If you really see it as a chore make it a monthly job and load four ezines in at a time. 15 – 20 minutes – tops which includes getting the articles to use.

There is so much spam around that people will not read my emails.
Have you forgotten that people have not only asked you for your ezines but they have also confirmed through double opt in that they want it. If you make your ezine friendly, interesting and worth reading then people will not only read it but look out for it.
