Internet Marketing in 2008

Internet marketing is becoming a more predominate tool to help franchisors get more qualified leads. When potential franchisees are looking for a business opportunity or a franchise opportunity to buy, 95% of them look to the Internet for information and ideas. As a result, franchisors are increasingly utilizing the power of the Internet to market franchise opportunities. When looking at marketing your franchise opportunity on the Web, consider: your Internet budget, Internet portals vs. Franchise Brokers, and getting the highest ROI for your investment.

Most companies under spend their marketing budget. This is a common, but crucial mistake. In order for your company to get on the map, you must spend money to get money in return. With that in mind, you also need to spend your money wisely. For 2008, spending franchise money includes Internet portals. Make your marketing budget last for the entire year; buy also make your budget work for you. Under spending your marketing budget can have devastating affects on your franchise development outcome.

Internet portals vs. Franchise Brokers is something that you will come across when looking to advertise your franchise. Both avenues have pros and cons; however Internet portals are becoming more predominate in the franchise industry. Studies show that 70% of franchisors use Internet portals to advertise their opportunities, while 2.3% use print ads and 30% use franchise brokers. Internet portals are becoming an easy and inexpensive way to market your franchise opportunity. 40% of companies advertise on 2-4 different Internet portals. This is a growing numbers that will continue to climb.

Getting the highest ROI is every business owner’s goal. Using Internet portals will allow for an easier ROI because the cost of Internet leads is extremely reasonable. Currently in 2007 most franchise leads are being generated by Internet portals. Using a franchise broker to market you franchise opportunity is definitely an option, however it is more cost effective to market your franchise opportunity through internet portals such as The Business Market.

Marketing, budgeting, and executing your franchise opportunity will be on your mind with the start of 2008 quickly approaching. Marketing your franchise on an Internet portal will allow for better success. The Internet is a useful tool that can be viewed worldwide. With most franchisors adapting to using online advertisements, it might be worthwhile to invest more marketing dollars in Internet portals than in business brokers.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.
Re: Hi from a Manhattan coach Re: Hi from a Manhattan coach - Hi Julie, Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here and thank you for telling us a little about yourself. You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Everyone, 2009 is a new year and I'd like to create a new forum category to jazz things up! In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category. I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above? Thanks
