A Simple Act Of Random Kindness

“Do something really good and really positive for somebody today … but do it in the knowing there’s no way they could ever re-pay you.” ~John Jackson

Natural disasters are often referred to as an “Act of God.” Catastrophic circumstances for which reason and rationale have no footing. We ask “why?” We look above and within. We struggle to find the lesson. Is it hidden in these tears, this pain?

What has occurred in Haiti is without question a tragedy. The loss of life, of any accord and scale, is an occasion that shall always deserve pause. It binds us together in the most simplistic of ways, as human beings. And so I ask you, the reader, was this an Act of God? Is it possible these horrific circumstances, despite the darkness and suffering they bring, serve to bring us together?

As citizens of humanity, as subjects of a higher good that knows no color or creed. No religion, or gender. Only the unwavering nobility of human life.As we bound together once more, let us be reminded that we have more to share than to cleave.

Remember, we will only be judged by how we take care of least among us.

To donate $10 to the Red Cross simplyTEXT ‘HAITI” to 90999 It will take you a mere 5 seconds to do this. Collectively we can do a lot. Please contribute.

(Jay's Full Bio: EvanCarmichael.com/jaykubassek)

In six short years, Canadian entrepreneur Jay Kubassek went from working on a farm to selling mufflers at a Kansas City Midas shop to revolutionizing home-based entrepreneurialism with the 2004 launch of his Internet-based education company CarbonCopyPRO and the PRO family of companies.

With little more than an 8th grade education and no start-up capital, the odds were stacked against him. But Jay has proven that business success and financial freedom can be achieved by virtually anyone who wants it badly enough, provided they are willing to earn it and the entrepreneurial spark is still there.

More Difficult Sign Up Process to Stop Spammers... More Difficult Sign Up Process to Stop Spammers... - This post is more for Evan but all Mods are welcome to chime in with your opinions. I have suggested this to the owners on some of the other forums I moderate and it has drastically reduced spam. Doing these things will almost entirely eliminate spam bots and will also cut down on real people who come here to spam because they don't want to jump through all the hoops. I don't know what you have in place right now since it has been so long since I joined but here are some things that a lot of forums are doing and it works well... 1) Captcha during registration. 2) Random security question during registration. 3) Must confirm email address to activate account before you can post. 4) New members can't add signature links and/or links in posts until after they have certain number of posts. Let's get rid of these A-Holes!!!

What makes you keep coming back for more? What makes you keep coming back for more? - I am researching on personal preferences that keeps the visitors coming back to a web site. What would be great is if people would list out their preferences of what keeps them interested to keep visiting a website in order or importance. For me it is:- 1. Content – Value, Depth and Recency of Information provided 2. User Friendliness – Easy Navigation, Simple graphic design etc. 3. Service – download time, contactability etc.
