Searching the Road

Screen shot 2010-08-06 at 1.02.37 PMSo there's this road. It's your road. Not in the sense that you own it per say. But that it's just...yours.

There's EXITS behind you. High School. First Job. First Girlfriend. First Boyfriend.

You can see all of those pretty clear in the rear view mirror.

Despite the fact you're driving in the opposite direction, they all seem to be right... there.... Strangely still crystal clear.

Right behind you, when you look in your Rear View mirror.

But... you can't really make out the EXITS ahead. They're not foggy, but blurry. Threes look like Eights, Eights look like Threes. You flash the brights in hope of a little help. Doesn't get any better.

It seems that you just have to keep moving forward, and trust that You're road...is well You're road. I guess you have to Believe in Yourself, right?

But every once in a while, on you're road, there not just an exit, but an Intersection. New ROADS appear.

Right banks, hard lefts, sharp rights.....There are EXITS along these roads too.

You can't really make those out any better than the one's in front of you now, but then again, you can clearly see what's behind you on the road you're currently on.

Do you want more EXITS like the one's in your past? Or are you willing to take a hard right onto a NEW ROAD. And see if you can't leave something better in your rear view.

After all it is YOUR Road, remember?

----------------------------------------------

Every day entrepreneurs around the world, take new roads to higher places. I look for my next intersection everyday. A chance to improve, to perform, to create, to assist, to grow.

Stay positive, keep the rear view where it belongs, behind you. Have a great weekend everyone.

All my best,

(Jay's Full Bio: EvanCarmichael.com/jaykubassek)

In six short years, Canadian entrepreneur Jay Kubassek went from working on a farm to selling mufflers at a Kansas City Midas shop to revolutionizing home-based entrepreneurialism with the 2004 launch of his Internet-based education company CarbonCopyPRO and the PRO family of companies.

With little more than an 8th grade education and no start-up capital, the odds were stacked against him. But Jay has proven that business success and financial freedom can be achieved by virtually anyone who wants it badly enough, provided they are willing to earn it and the entrepreneurial spark is still there.

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,
New member here to help! New member here to help! - Hello everyone! My name is Steven and I am from Texas. I started my own Time Trial racing series called the Chrono-X. (i.e. a competitive race in the automotive industry) Here's a little info about me: Graduated from Mcoy Business School, degree in management with an entrepreneurial focus covering marketing, finance, economics, public relations, and business plan development. Before switching to business I majored in graphics design and 3d animation. I also have had jobs where I was trained in digital portrait retouching, mailer card designs, photo album layout design, and graphical arts. More recently I was trained in next generation graphics design and advertising arts. I also do website design and have a few websites out there of my own. I currently am the VP of Marketing in charge of promotions, collateral material, and public relations at Harris Hill Road. In my last job, I was trained in website traffic generation and promotion. I am currently working on a new type of business plan for the future, one that gets the information across quickly, efficiently, and without pain. I'm working on getting it official by the end of 2010. BLAH BLAH! I know, I'm not trying to make anyone fall asleep but I didn't think you would read the whole thing anyway! So ask me any questions, I'd love to try and help with anything! I also love to photoshop stuff for fun, so if you have anything you want help with let me know!
