Affordable SEO with Longtail Keywords

If you are starting an online business then you'll soon realize the important of search engine optimization for your website. If you are willing to try your hand at ranking your own website then affordable SEO is not out of the question. To make search engine optimization less expensive for you then there are certain things you will have to focus on when you are building your website and creating your online presence. One of the main aspects includes what types of keywords you are trying to rank your website for. To get your sites to rank in the search engines quicker however you must focus on long tail keywords as they will be easier to rank for. Long tail keywords offer many benefits over trying to rank your website for the short tail. A long tail is a keyword phrase that is at least three or more words. Ranking your website for the long tail will be a shorter process and also lead to you getting more targeted traffic to your website.

To put it into perspective short tail keywords may be

• lose weight

• weight loss

• lose fat

Now the long tail variety of those keywords would be

• lose weight fast

• quick weight loss

• lose fat on arms

It is much easier to rank your website for the longer tail keywords as they will have less competition in the search engines. Also look at the keyword phrases, someone who is focused on losing fat on their arms in particular will be much more likely to visit your website over someone else's site that is just focused on fat loss in general. The more specific the keyword phrase you are trying to rank for is the more targeted your visitor will be which in turn will help with your website conversions.

Now that you know what keywords you should be focused on, you need to focus on other aspects of search engine optimization. Other things you can take care of yourself include adding the keyword you are trying to rank for to your page title. In the eyes of the search engines your page title tells them exactly what your webpage is about. Therefore having the exact term you are trying to rank for in your page title will benefit your website tremendously.

Another thing you can do is buy a domain name that contains your keyword phrase, and buying a dot com, dot net, or dot org domain. It's been said that the search engines favors domains that contain the exact key phrases so when possible buy domain names with the phrases included in them.

Now that you have a head start on affordable SEO you can hire someone to take care of other aspects of off page optimization. This will mainly consists of distributing articles to different authority websites to get links back to your websites as well as other linking strategies. With your website having a strong foundation however you will be well on your way in your way to ranking your websites high in the search engines.

Scoping Your Articles for Ghostwriters Scoping Your Articles for Ghostwriters - Martin, can you advise your process for scoping out the work for article writing. specifically, 1. How do you scope the boundaries of the article? (is it by the Keywords?) 2. How many keywords do you provide to the ghostwriter for an article of a certain size? 3. How do you measure quality? (is it just your impression that the article is good)? 4. Who owns the article? 5. How do you know that this article is not published elsewhere on the Internet? Thanks
Re: Traffic! How do you get it? Re: Traffic! How do you get it? - I agree, [i:1z2pskgt]"The solution before getting traffic, is RESEARCH"[/i:1z2pskgt]. "Keywords" are the source of traffic and its completely true that we should do a bit of research before crafting an article. Now a days, i see like its quite easy to rank well for long tail keywords esp. on Google because of the "freshness" in serp. The newly indexed articles are placed above the older articles to show fresh content to the user. Its advantage too but the question is, how long you stay in top position ?
Keywords Keywords - Keywords in your URL are good, but you also need to include these in headings on your pages. If you were going to search Google for this content, what words would you use? What common words would people use in a search engine if they wanted to find your site? You don't need to overdo the headers, just add a couple to each page and especially on your home page to attract search engines. I think someone also mentioned listing your site in directories. This is good and make sure to list your site under beauty - this should attract people that want to find you. Trading links with sites is good and especially sites that attract the people you want to bring onto your site. Miss Shri
