Windows Mobile Development Growth

There was time back in 2004, when Windows mobile had 23% market share in smartphone worldwide and it was expected to beat Symbian by 2010 and become the top mobile operating system but in 2011 the story turned and now if we see the Windows operating system is at the 5th place after Android, Symbian and iOS and RIM.

Little does the companies and organizations know that Windows phone 7 will be a huge hit in the market and Windows mobile developers and development will be in huge demand by 2015 as it is expected to get 21% of the smartphone market share which means that there will be a growth of 67% for the OS.

Some of the reasons as a result of which Windows Mobile has a brighter future are as follows:

1) The biggest advantage for this platform would be the partnership between Nokia and Microsoft. They will work hand in hand and are planning to launch Nokia's smartphones with the Windows OS. This would help the developers to explore and make new apps on the strong hardware of Nokia.

2) User friendly interface and quality business tools are the two important things that will attract the users. The users will be able to access the applications faster with the help of the new interface. Exciting and amazing apps can be made as a result of the user friendly interface.

3) Windows 7 OS has brand new experience as it was build from nothing by Microsoft and it can compete with the top mobile OS in the market. The platform is completely new and exciting.

4) The latest Windows mobile OS will give the users as well as the developers the advantage of multitasking wherein the native applications and web apps will run in the background.

5) Developers can make apps that will be able to take advantage of the phone's hardware like the camera and all.

6) The programmers and the developers will have access to new tools and APIs that would help them to make better and more complex apps.

If you thought that windows mobile is out of fashion and is getting phased out soon from the market, then its time you think again. Windows mobile is the future of mobile technology and you never know the apps made on this OS might be beating the ones made on the other platforms in the future. This OS is soon going to see some very new and exciting apps in the coming times. So it is the right time for you to grab the opportunity and get the application made on the platform.

Re: The Mobile Marketing Re: The Mobile Marketing - Mobile Marketing involves communicating with the consumer via cellular (or mobile) device, either to send a simple marketing message, to introduce them to a new audience participation-based campaign or to allow them to visit a mobile website. Re: What are your February Goals? Re: What are your February Goals? - Hi Evan, Thanks for the feedback. I did wonder about those arrows, and the lack of a headline. I should probably add a headline and a set of arrows pointing to the Windows download button, then have the Mac option placed below it without arrows. Actually, if you had gone the "Mac" route on Windows you would have downloaded a pdf file, so no worries. Mac users, however, can't open exe files (unless they use OSX etc and have a Windows partition on their hard-drive). I'm still experimenting with download methods - the boomerang method / standard squeeze page download / splash page direct download without needing to join my list...
Re: Mobile Marketing Re: Mobile Marketing - Top 10 trends in the mobile application in 2012 What is most interesting to us mobile marketers is what lands at # 2 and # 3 spots on his list. "Mobile Search", "location-based services," and also, the place n. # 8 is our favorite of my "mobile advertising." last round after this morning's location based on 1020 funding Placecast poster supports the thesis that when it comes to phones, people expect to be able to discover things around them. That makes sense - after all, what good is a mobile device if you can not access the information you need right now? Gartner reports that location services will be "one of the most disturbing in the coming years." Gartner predicts that the LBS user base of 96 million global growth in 2009 to more than 526 million by 2012. "His value to the user high is the result of its ability to meet a variety of needs, ranging from productivity and fullfillment target social networking and entertainment." Mobile Search, which Gartner says is a fundamental purpose "to drive sales and marketing opportunities in the mobile phone," now just need the user experience. Once "the industry improves the user experience of mobile search to get people back again," Gartner predicts it will be the third most popular application in 2012. Getting to # 8, mobile advertising is no joke. Total spending on mobile advertising in 2008 was $ 530.2 million, which Gartner expects to grow to $ 7.5 billion in 2012. "Mobile advertising is an important way to monetize the mobile Internet content, applications and offering free services to end users. The mobile channel will be used as part of the largest advertising campaigns in various media, including television, radio, print and outdoor, "says Gartner. Here's the full top 10 types of future mobile applications, according to Gartner: 1. Money transfer 2. Location Based Services 3. Mobile Search 4. Mobile Browsing 5. Mobile health monitoring 6.
