The Easiest Way to Create a Memorial DVD for Christmas

Christmas is a happy season. We get together with our families and friends to enjoy this important holiday. There are so many loving memories. For keeping the memories for lifetime long, making a photo slideshow DVD for our Christmas will be a good idea.

When considering creating such DVDs for playing on home DVD player, we may think it needs high multimedia programming skills and thus hesitate to do it. Don't worry, here comes an easy way to do this only if we are familiar with PowerPoint. PowerPoint provides us the opportunity to make a truly unique and personalized memorial for Christmas. It makes a wonderful keepsake for many family and friends to view and then recall their favorite stories in Christmas.

Go with the following steps, and we can witness how PowerPoint helps us realize it in simply a few steps.

Materials we need to prepare for the Christmas memorial DVD:

- Photos and videos: At Every event of Christmas, we take lots of photos and shoot many video clips to record the exciting moments with a camera, such as the Christmas tree decoration, family reunion, party, and so on. These can be great components of the DVD.

- Christmas songs: A proper song to accompany the DVD will make us feel more comfortable. Here is a Christmas song list for us. For more popular ones, we can search on the Internet readily.

- Other decorative objects: To make the DVD more fancy, gif humors or any interesting digital elements are welcome.

After selecting out the things above, we can go to the next step to create the Christmas memorial DVD with PowerPoint:

Step1: Choose a Christmas or family based PowerPoint templates to set show the atmosphere for the whole slideshow.

Step2: Insert photos and videos to PowerPoint according to the sequence we like with the Insert tab in PowerPoint. We can further edit the selected photo by double clicking on it.

Step3: Customize the animations of each object inserted and set transition effect to each slide in the Animations tab. This can make the output DVD more dynamic.

Step4: Insert the music and descriptive words also in the Insert tab.

Step5: Preview the PowerPoint we made, and make optimization if necessary.

Now, we come to the last step of making the DVD.

As we know, PowerPoint can't be recognized by the DVD player, we need to burn it onto a DVD before we can play it on DVD player. Here we can try this PowerPoint to DVD converter PPT2DVD. There is a built-in DVD burner in this program and also built-in DVD menu templates for us to add menus and chapters. The conversion process will be finished automatically in just few clicks.

Each year, we re-create Christmas spirit while creating new memories. So, to keep all the wonderful moments during Christmas, create our own memorial DVD now.

Re: What are reasons to stay in touch with your customers? Re: What are reasons to stay in touch with your customers? - To remind them of a holiday for which they may want to buy a gift from your business and give to the person (such as Mother's day or Christmas). Although I've never done it, I've heard that off holidays (such as Memorial Day) for which we don't think of getting a card on, are the best ones to send them on so they don't get lost in all the other Christmas or Easter cards people are sending at the typical times. I don't know if that's what you're looking for or not. That's all I can think of right now.
I hate holidays... I hate holidays... - My zine readership always goes down from Friday through Sunday... but it really gets bad during the holidays - in particular three day holidays like this Memorial Day Weekend! Wouldn't be so bad if I thought people were actually doing Memorial Day things... saying thanks to our Armed Forces of past and present... but it's just a way to get out and get some sun and not read webzines...
Being generous has its rewards! Being generous has its rewards! - My friend wants to go around the streets on Christmas night giving homeless people $20 bills. Maybe I'll tell him to start a fundraiser, find a few sponsors and hold an event instead? It could be for everyone who don't have a families to be with during Christmas? They can all get together on Christmas day and have some fun and get to know each other. (sort of like a little family?) It probably sounds better in theory though, lol.
