4 Ways to Play Flash SWF Files on iPod touch

iPod Touch, actually a very confusing product delivery because it is almost the same with iPhone except it cannot call!

There are 4 models in iPod Touch family and iPod Touch is just one of the 4 iPod product lines. iPod Touch 4 is the latest model so far that features a front-facing camera for FaceTime, the iPhone 4\'s Retina display without an IPS screen, support for recording 720p video and 960 x 720 still photos via a back camera, Apple\'s A4 chip, a built-in microphone, a 3-axis gyroscope and a darker and more glassy blank display.

Although iPod Touch and iPhone are too much alike, however, there is one thing that both iPod Touch and iPhone lack: the Flash support! And this is exactly where the problem originates. Then how can we view the Flash content on iPod Touch?

Since iPod Touch itself does not have flash support, we have to use some indirect ways to make the Flash playable on iPod Touch. Here we summarized 4 ways to do it. And these methods may apply to other iOS devices as well.

#1 Method to Play Flash on iPod Touch: Jailbreak

You need to jailbreak your iPod Touch iOS.

Here is the procedure flow chart: install OpenSSH -> download, install and set up Cyberduck for Mac or WinSCP for Windows -> download Frash-0.02.deb file -> navigate to /var/root/Media directory and create a folder named “Cydia” -> create another folder named AutoInstall inside Cydia -> copy the Frash-0.02.deb file to folder AutoInstall -> restart and enjoy Flash on your iPod Touch.

#3 Method to Play Flash on iPod Touch: Apple App

You need to have an Apple-approved app Skyfire.

Skyfire is an Apple-approved application functions as a mobile browser tool that converts Flash content to HTML5, will allow your iOS device to stream Flash videos from the Web. You can easily find it in iTunes App Store.

#4 Method to Play Flash on iPod Touch: Convert to Video

You need to have a Flash SWF to Video Converter or a Flash SWF to iPod Converter.

Play Flash SWF files on iPod Touch indirectly by converting it to regular video/audio/image formats, which are acceptable for iPod Touch. Do not worry about the Flash animation effect because it will be retained 100% in the output MP4 or JPG format and you can even make it better! The optional conversion mode and the advanced output profile settings are the key. Let us have a look at how it works!

Step 1: Choose the iPod Touch format MP4 with different resolution plans from Style drop-down menu.

Step 2: Choose the conversion mode, customize capture and profile settings to guarantee a best-quality iPod Touch format output.

Step 3: You can also convert the Flash file to other popular video, audio or image formats and click Convert to start. The SWF to iPod Touch conversion will start officially in a couple of seconds after the performance testing.

Step 4: Import the converted MP4 video to your iPod Touch via iTunes and enjoy!

Willing to Fail Your Way to Success Willing to Fail Your Way to Success - Entrepreneurs in my opinion, must be willing to fail. (This is that risk-taking factor quoted in the other post). If you aren't willing to fail then you don't take risks and if you don't take risks you do I like to call (I am qouting an awesome book called Play to Win!) 'Playing Not to Lose' instead of 'Playing to Win'. When you Play to Win you must risks. Risks are how you build a business and innovate.
How does one suggest improvements to inventions How does one suggest improvements to inventions - and get paid for them? I'm sure people write in and complain and suggest new features for various things they buy... and if those changes are implemented that's all well and good, but the person who made the suggestion for the improvment isn't going to get paid for it. How does one suggest these improvements - and get paid for them? ----long story One of the best things the PC did (at least, Dell) was to color code all their little plugs, so you know that the green plug goes into the green hole, the pink into the pink, etc. Makes setting up those things a heckuva lot easier! I was thinking that the same thing should be done for today's TVs! I've had a new TV for a few weeks, set up next to my computer because I like to work and watch TV at the same time. But I've got it set up in such a way that I can't see all the little buttons on the top of the screen, which are the buttons for Stop, Play, Eject (for the internal DVD) , the Volume up and down, and the Channel up and down. Of course, that wasn't a problem when my remote control worked, but for some reason it stopped working a couple of weeks ago. (Yes, I replaced the battery - no good). Since I have the TV so close to my computer it's no problem, I can reach out and touch the buttons... But because they're all the same color, I had to actually get up and look at them to make sure I was pressing the right button. I've solved that problem by attaching a bit of yellow paper to the Play button, and a bit of orange paper to the Volume Up button. Makes things a lot easier...
Re: How to network for inventors Re: How to network for inventors - Hi Kevin, You need to find ways to keep in touch and stay top of mind. What I've done, for example, is created a list of the most important 30 people that I want to stay in touch with. Some of top authors, some are customers, some are partners, some are prospects, etc. I make a point to find a way to stay in touch with them every month by helping them out. I'll look for articles that might support their business, try to make introductions that will be useful and invite them to events that they will find valuable. You can't do this for everyone you meet because you also have your business to run and it can be time consuming but try to separate your list out so you find ways to stay in touch with the most important people who can have a significant impact on your company.
