Business and Graphic Design – Is There Anything in Common?

Can you imagine our world without graphic design art? Modern world is filled with designs that you might have not even heard of. We are surrounded by graphic art design from the very moment we open our eyes, till the time we go to sleep - all around us implements graphics design. This is the inseparable part of our lives, and the business has more to do with it, than any other area or aspect of our living. Various businesses employ graphic designing in different ways in order to promote their products and services. It includes posters, banners, brochures, postcards, flyers, business cards, websites, and so on.

Graphic design art is the implementation of graphic components and text to deliver information or ideas to a certain audience. It is related to many professional and artistic disciplines, concentrated on visual presentation and communication. Different modes are employed to create and join symbols, words, and images to make a visual presentation. Usually, graphics design is used to make marketing materials in magazines, logos, website Designing, Ecommerce sites, advertisements, etc.

A graphics designer at times is referred to as the only responsible person for creating a unique and outstanding graphics design. Principally, designers plan, analyze and provide visual solutions to communicate the audience. It would be fair to say that a graphics designer is one of most needed profession in most business areas today, since they find efficient ways to get marketing messages arranged in electronic, print, and even movies, using various methods they know.

When a graphics design task is done appropriately it attracts the publicity's attention, which improves the effect of the marketing message and appends confidence to a certain business.

If you think of what a good graphics designer is, here are some of the characteristics:

- A good graphics designer is able to deliver a marketing message through the design

- A good graphics designer helps to build confidence and trust in companies one works for, and can also help in the development of the brand

- A good graphics designer is able to improve the company's advertising image

- A good graphics designer is creative and artistic

- A good graphics designer is responsible

- A good graphics designer creates unique designs

- A good graphics designer always considers all the necessary factors, including physical, social, and cultural factors in planning and performing designs for the target audience

Communications processed through visual effect is much more efficient than simple text. It involves both the unspoken emotion and visual perception. A graphic designer controls all the aspects of the topic featured, whether it is serious or not, and whether the viewer should be stimulated to action, or taken down a peg. Graphic designing creates balance between technology and design as it is today.

Although we live in the age of IT development, the design was there even before this computerized era started. This is the constant way of proper message deliverance to the public, and there are barely any other as good ways to promote business.

Your Riskiest Business Decision Your Riskiest Business Decision - Greetings All I was just thinking about my own Graphic Design business and how I've made risky decisions in the past. One of these decisions involved taking on a long term, full time contract at the expense of losing new and existing clients for the next 2 years, as well as having to satisfy existing clients on the weekends. Would the contract kill my entire freelance business after 2 years? Would it be worth it? As I'm nearing the end of the 2 year contract and I would have to say that it's paid off. This is because I managed to run my own business on the side (weekends) to retain most of my existing clients so when/if I decide to go back to full time freelancing I won't have to start from the beginning again. In saying this I would like to know of any risky business decisions that you have made and whether it paid off or not? My 2 year contract decision did pay off but I also lost two good clients because I did not have the time to efficiently satisfy their requests.
