Answering Service Helps Increase Profits

How can a telephone answering service help increase profits? If you are shopping around for an answering service, of course the sales personnel of the industry will try to convince you that their service can grow your business and make you more money. But can you completely trust a sales person? The short answer is no as they are telling you what you want to hear to justify their employment and to hit a sales bonus. The truth is, services do help you increase profits and the expense of hiring one will be offset by the increase in customers. Rather than discuss in possibilities and jargon, following are some real life examples of how a telephone answering service can help specific businesses.

Lawyers: Attorneys are always looking for ways to increase billable hours. If the telephone answering service routes emergency client calls to the lawyer, calls they would otherwise miss, time on the phone cal be logged via the answering service software and easily billed to the client at the end of the month.

Contractors: Many contractors have their telephones being answered by their voicemail or routed to their home phone and being answered by answering machines. People often hang up and don't lead messages and contractors are often too occupied to call customers back. An answering service can help keep contractors organized by giving you a daily log of calls to make each day.

Small Businesses: Telephone answering services can make small businesses look bigger. Big businesses like to deal with other big companies and consumers like to deal with companies they think are reliable. With a service, you will always have a live operator answering your calls making your business look both big and reliable.

Realtors: The real estate game is all about immediate contact for lead capture. If a real estate agent has a listing and has the calls going to their cell phone, they may not always be available. By having the calls routed to a service, you can help increase the chances you will me the sales agent for the lead thus increasing your profits.

Though this is just a sample of industries, it is easy to see how an answering service can help increase profits. For lawyers, it helps increase billable hours. For contractors, it helps keep you organized and more likely to contact your leads. For small businesses, it makes you look bigger and can help attract business. For realtors, it can help increase visibility and the likelihood you will be a prospects real estate agent. An answering service can be a beneficial profit generating tool for any genre of business.

Re: Service Or Product? Re: Service Or Product? - I agree with starting a Service-based Business in the economy. Here is what I think is critical: 1. Researching that your Service business has a market. 2. Marketing the Service with as much leverage as possible. 3. Product-izing the Service (aka Package Expert Knowledge). This will only help elevate you as "the" expert in your niche and make you accessible to people in different price points.
Re: Joomla Now Has A GetResponse Module Re: Joomla Now Has A GetResponse Module - Hi Kevin, Interesting that you tried Joomla and then gave up on it. So did I! There is a lot to be said for Joomla. It can make your site look very professional, you can completely change design in just a few clicks of your mouse, and if you add anything to a panel you can display it throughout your site... Also, Joomla does seem to suck in traffic. My traffic stats improved with Joomla, probably because of the interactive features it offers, such as the article directory feature and so on. However, I also experienced various frustrations with Joomla. HTML is simpler and you have complete control over your site, but you do have to recode every page when you make design changes... (unless you are prepared to learn CSS and then deal with all the browser problems...) Also, I market the Plug-In Profits Site and came to the conclusion that it would be better business practice to show my potential customers what can be done with a Plug-In Profits site by using one myself and modifying it to suit my purposes. After all, there is no better advertisement for a product than the fact that the seller also uses it! On the other hand, I know a lot of Internet marketers who love Joomla, so I think it is just a matter of choosing what works best for you. ... And if you like Joomla and use the GetResponse autoresponder service, life just got easier for you! David H
Who Said Twitter Doesn't Work...? Who Said Twitter Doesn't Work...? - Last month, the BBC World Service programme, The Strand, featured 21 year-old Icelandic pianist/composer Olafur Arnalds. Arnalds achieved extraordinary success through his internet-led project to compose 7 tunes in 7 days, post them on his website and then post links to it via TWITTER. As a result his website got thousands of visitors eager to listen to his music, catapulting him to fame and bringing his music to the attention of the BBC, who featured an interview with him on the World Service programme, The Strand! So who says Twitter doesn't work? (HINT: It does help if you have something uniquely your own that other people want to get hold of...)
