Artwork and canvas prints

Artwork and canvas printing is a very exciting topic. I know allot of people that buy artwork as well as having photos printed on canvas to but when buying artwork on canvas its more exciting i think.

If you're an art lover like myself you will appreciate the time and the talent it takes to produce such perfection which is why artwork can be so pricey. I would have loved to buy a famous piece of art like allot of people but these days they can be very expensive so if you come across a website or an art dealer that can sell you a reproduction like a canvas print then this will be very useful and you can then get some canvas artwork at a fraction of the cost.

Before you purchase a piece of artwork you need to ask yourself a few questions. One would be where are you going to hang the canvas art and do you have a specific size in mind for a certain wall space. You need to then think about the colour and does the artwork make you as a person feel good. If so then that's a very good start in making your mind up about which canvas art you want to purchase.

If you are getting some art for a gift then you need to think about what the person you are getting the art for looks like and what their taste is, its always a good give away when looking at them as a person, one of the main clues would be how they dress of how they have their hair style, for example if they have fiery red hair and their cloths always looks very colour clash then try looking at a canvas print or artwork which has loads of colours and has allot of detail in it. Another tip would be to look at their home to without giving the surprise away that you're going to buy them something to hang on their wall.

Having art in your home leave a sophisticated feeling and really does say a lot about a person. Not in any wrong way it more about being very positive as we all have good taste at the end of the day but there are a few different ones to look out for, especially when you're giving art to someone or for yourself. The internet is a great place to start when looking for your canvas artwork or canvas prints for that matter. Reason being is because the internet is huge and offers lots of different styles form difference artists which are always a handy tool to have at your finger tips when looking for artwork on canvas.

Happy hunting and enjoy your gander as that is what it's all about at the end of the day. It's not just the purchase it's the adventure of viewing amazing artwork along the way.

Re: A new product line Re: A new product line - Thankyou for taking the time to check out my website & for posting a lengthy reply!! It is very much appreciated. I have a special ablity to walk into any market and immidiately spot symptoms of a potential oppertunity , which start flashing up at me. So when I started painting & selling online I suddenly got funnelled down into this process of trial & error, coming up with the ultimate designs for my target market. I seem to beable to (& with ease) break any product or service down to its bones and see what about it sells. So in terms of colour, subject matter, use of materials, content, method... it is all carefully thought out, all combining to produce a product that when I put it down in front of someone they say I don't know what it is about this, but I really like it! Thankyou for your thoughts on using a mass distributer (already with a huge list of customers). I have considered this, but the only problem is that this method is out of line with my goal of having a major wholesale fine art prints company. So maybe I am taking on too much. Number 1 I want to get these prints all over the country (& abroad) before they go out of fashion. But I also want to have this company that I speak of. So maybe it is too much to ask for both at the same time. I do have real determination. So maybe this will allow to accomplish both things. Although it would be much easier to just go through a distributer.... hmm, I guess it comes down to a choice. Thanks again for your help. Kind regards, Dale Gallagher, New Zealand Artist
Do you do color business Card??? Do you do color business Card??? - Do you do color business cards? How does it work, do I upload a PDF of my business card then your company prints them out and mails them to me? The best business cards that I've ever got was when our Japanese graphic artist designed the front logo of the cards and we got them printed out at Staples.
Printers Printers - Here's another thing that annoys me. I've got an Epson CX6600 inkjet printer. Great little thing, prints photos and stuff crystal clear. Comes with four ink cartrdiges, black, and then cyan, magenta and yellow. And if any of those cartridges run out, you can't print until you put in a new one. So for the last week my magenta has been at 20%, and then at 10%, despite the fact I've only been printing in black and white. And now today it has run out - despite the fact that I haven't used that color for over 2 weeks! And all I want to do is print a black and white document so it shouldn't matter at all that I have no yellow... yellow doesn't come into the equation! But, nope, can't print. Some insidious or machiavellian plot to make people have to buy ink cartridges even if they don't want/shouldn't need them. I'm feeling really chapped!
Re: When to give away your product or service for free Re: When to give away your product or service for free - Hi David. I have a new product on the market, as I have earlier posted in the sales & marketing forums (called "a new product"), anyway I have been doing some door to door knocking and it seems because my art prints take up so much wall space, it is quite a risk for them to just go ahead, into business with me. So today I started saying to them "ok, why dont I just leave a couple of artworks here for a fortnight & if you get lots of customer interest then we can discuss business further, but if not, then I will simply take them back & you won't here from me again" This new tactic really seems to be working. Instead of saying "well...... Im really not sure if I have the wallspace...." they have started saying "oh... ok.... that sounds like a good idea.... yes, why dont we do that". I am dam sure my products will attract lots of interest, so a foot in the door is all I need. So thanks for the post. Dale Gallagher, New Zealand Artist
Always Follow Up Always Follow Up - I follow up on every single business card I receive with a greeting card in the mail and a overview of what we talked about. On average I'll get about 10-15 business cards if I get to have an intimate 5 minute conversation with the networker about their business and his/her needs. When I network I'm always asking then "How can I help you succeed?" or "If there was someone I could introduce you to can you describe that person?" At the event if they ask me for a card I will usually ask them for their's first and then advise them that I will send them my business card by mail. When I get home I immediately enter them into my online contact management system and send them a greeting card from the System. On the front of this greeting card there is a picture of me holding my business card out-stretched, like I'm handing it to you at a Networking meeting. On the inside right there is a picture of me with a tag line. On the inside left I share with them either someone that can help them or I restate that I am on the lookout for someone they are looking for. I also ask them for their Birthday (Day and Month) so that I can follow up with them on their Birthday's automatically using my campaign system that prints the card, writes my message in my handwriting, automatically stuffs it, attaches a gift card or brownies, applies a real stamp to the envelope and then mailed. All done without any effort on my part. When they receive this it really keeps me top of mind and I know they appreciate it because I usually get calls of "Thanks" (98% of the time). All this for about $1.00/person (more if I'm attaching a gift) - sweet!
