Canvas artwork to canvas prints

Have you ever thought about having your artwork printing onto canvas, it's a wonderful thing because you not only get to have a reproduced version of your art but you can also have the same picture printed over and over again, it's good especially if you want to sell your canvas artwork to other people or even if you just want to give some of your family members a piece of you wonderful work but when having them printed it save you allot of time rather than to paint one from fresh.

I myself have had allot of my own artwork printed to canvas as I like to sell my art. I do pretty well on the selling side of things but it's not always about making money as it's that feeling of making someone else happy and knowing that it was your artwork and your very own inspiration that done the trick.

If you're going to be getting your artwork printed on to some canvas prints it's always better to either go with a referral from a friend and family or with a well known company as they all tend to have the correct equipment that is needed for such a delicate canvas printing job.

Now to the canvas print its self. Most printers out there can wow you with their printing abilities as you can simply give them your artwork or a hard copy or even if you just emailed a picture of your painting or photograph then that is also usable, then the results can be so good and can be very for filling when it comes down to getting the right colours and the right texture of your canvas print.

Now I know obviously you don't just want your painting to look fabulous for the print, you need the whole finish to be perfect to. For example most companies use stretcher bar frame these days which give a lifelong lasting stretch to your canvas print. I found this out as I tried making some canvas prints along time for my canvas artwork by just using a wooden frame but only after a couple of months it began to become very loose which isn't very good so yes I would recommend to always make sure the canvas prints you buy are stretched over stretcher bar frames then that would be the perfect product for your reproduced canvas artwork. Even if you're buying a photo on canvas or if you're buying some one else's art then i really do recommend to have stretcher bar frames for the mounting of the canvas.

Get it down in writing Get it down in writing - An entrepreneur friend of mine came to me asking for help yesterday. He had invented a new product (which I happen to think is very cool) and hired a graphic designer to prepare a logo for him and some marketing materials. Now that my friend is starting to get some interest from a few major companies, the graphic designer is asking for more money or he won't give up the exclusive rights to use the artwork - which means that he could, if he wanted to, sell the same artwork to competitors of my friend's business. Whenever you hire someone to perform a service or deliver a product make sure you get down in writing that you own whatever results from your working relationship. It cannot be resold or reused by anyone else without your written agreement.

It was a painful lesson that I learnt. Re: A new product line Re: A new product line - Thankyou for taking the time to check out my website & for posting a lengthy reply!! It is very much appreciated. I have a special ablity to walk into any market and immidiately spot symptoms of a potential oppertunity , which start flashing up at me. So when I started painting & selling online I suddenly got funnelled down into this process of trial & error, coming up with the ultimate designs for my target market. I seem to beable to (& with ease) break any product or service down to its bones and see what about it sells. So in terms of colour, subject matter, use of materials, content, method... it is all carefully thought out, all combining to produce a product that when I put it down in front of someone they say I don't know what it is about this, but I really like it! Thankyou for your thoughts on using a mass distributer (already with a huge list of customers). I have considered this, but the only problem is that this method is out of line with my goal of having a major wholesale fine art prints company. So maybe I am taking on too much. Number 1 I want to get these prints all over the country (& abroad) before they go out of fashion. But I also want to have this company that I speak of. So maybe it is too much to ask for both at the same time. I do have real determination. So maybe this will allow to accomplish both things. Although it would be much easier to just go through a distributer.... hmm, I guess it comes down to a choice. Thanks again for your help. Kind regards, Dale Gallagher, New Zealand Artist
Do you do color business Card??? Do you do color business Card??? - Do you do color business cards? How does it work, do I upload a PDF of my business card then your company prints them out and mails them to me? The best business cards that I've ever got was when our Japanese graphic artist designed the front logo of the cards and we got them printed out at Staples.
The wiles of graphic designers The wiles of graphic designers - [quote:3m64hpp3]the graphic designer is asking for more money or he won't give up the exclusive rights to use the artwork - which means that he could, if he wanted to, sell the same artwork to competitors of my friend's business. [/quote:3m64hpp3] Seems to me that there should be some kind of law here... it should be a "given" - or whatever the legal term is - that whenever someone hires a graphic designer to do a logo or what have you, it's obviously exclusive and should be handed over for the initial payment agreed upon. And if it isn't in writing, whatever happened to verbal contracts? I know there used to be an old saying "Verbal contracts aren't worth the paper htey aren't written on," but there's plenty of precedent in American law these days that says otherwise (not that I'm saying that's a good thing.) But yes, buyers should get things in writing.... but then, so should the providers, also... (the only example of the provider being ripped off I can think of at the moment is the whole Superman fiasco...the two creators of Superman in the 1930s worked on a pay per piece basis, and did well out of it for the monetary reward standards of the day, but when Superman marketing took off and the whole character and his spin offs turned into a multi million dollar business, they received nothing from it. After years of litigation the two poverty-stricken creators were finally awarded about $75,000 each.... some extremely low sum considering the value of their creation... but then, they [i:3m64hpp3]had [/i:3m64hpp3]signed their creation over to others...
