Today printing your pictures on to canvas is becoming increasingly more popular and it couldn't be easier thanks to many online printing companies and certain shops in your high street providing this service. Canvas printing and canvas wall art has been popular for decades and was traditionally used for reproducing paintings and iconic works of art. Most of today's modern large format printers are capable of printing on to canvas rolls of up to 60" or more, and the modern inkjet-based printers can print directly on to canvas. With modern technology it's never been easier to transfer your home photos onto canvas prints.

There are many ways of doing this with the help of a professional canvas printer of course old or new photographs can be scanned on to your computer using a basic scanner, digital images can be uploaded on to your computer using your camera cds or memory cards.

When choosing where to display your canvas artwork there are certain things to remember most professional canvas printers use uv inks which are lightfast for 75 years or more which means hanging them in direct sunlight should not be a problem, Some canvas prints have a spray sealing of waterproof lacquer which means they would be suitable for outdoors if not you can buy this from most arts and crafts stores. Neva hang a canvas print in a place with too much humidity if the canvas feels damp remove it to another less humid room, too much heat is also bad for a canvas so never hang one in a overly heated place i.e. above a radiator.
