A single set of USB peripherals can be used to control and manage multiple USB computers with the help of a USB KVM Switch. Available in 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 port versions, this device is available in rack mountable and desktop versions. Commercial grade units can be daisy chained together to control a larger numbers of servers. Both versions can support high resolution video signals up to 1600 x 1200 and some units will also support the Native SUN resolution of 1152 x 900 with a bandwidth of 200MHz. While the 8, 16 and 32 port versions fit into a 1U form factor and can be used as a standalone device, they are also designed to be integrated into our 1U and 2U Rackmount USB KVM Drawer. Built to fit into a durable metal enclosure, this switch has many user friendly features.

The USB Switch is easy to install and operates on simple plug and play functionality. They do not require any software or device drivers for operation and this device is hot pluggable as the unit also has the ability to emulate PS2 mouse and keyboard connections. Equipped with an 8 character password protection for security, control can be exercised using the on-screen display menu, keyboard hotkeys, push buttons on the front of the unit or RS232. Offering multi platform support, these devices work with PCs, Mac, SUN Microsystems, IBM compatibles, HP, Compaq and Dell and come with necessary approvals from UL, CE and RoHS.

Designed for multiple applications, this device provides the flexibility for cross platform computer integration in a shared environment. Ideal for applications where the computer needs to be placed in a secure environment, the USB KVM switch finds its use in medical and commercial environments, entertainment facilities, information kiosks and film and recording studios.

Re: How do you monitor what people say about you in the web? - Agree, set up Google Alerts, but if you set up multiple alerts be sure to set them up as unique alerts, not one alert which includes multiple keywords. I also use Hootsuite where you can save custom searches for Twitter mentions.
Re: Recommendations for going Wireless - GT, I've used "Air Cards" from Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. I've also use a Blackberry as an external modem. Like any device there are limitations. The down side to these devices is whether or not your computer is in a dead zone. As for getting onto the Internet via these devices, they do well, but there in again it depends on where you are at. Dead zones are common and can disconnect you from the Internet without warning. But just as quickly as you get disconnected your device can easily detect a signal and reconnect without you having to log back in. Now the bad news. Monthly rates are a huge factor for this convenience and do not provide any real savings. Check your local provider for packages and pricing.
