HTC Status can be defined as an attractive, well-crafted handset. The phone is ravishing but HTC is not cashing on its beauty, though it is a reason for many users to change their handsets. Promoter has ambitious plans for this new device. It doesn’t want it to be called a good calling machine and for this reason it has taken a keen interest in phone’s design and selection of features. Status is a complete phone and it stands true to its name.

There is a group of smartphone users for whom a quality keypad is the only feature that matters most. Some rarely bothers with making calls and emails as messaging and social networking platforms reign supreme for communication. HTC is quick to understand the changing mood of users and this helped it in delivering a handset that can succeed where others have failed. Its full QWERTY keypad and ideally spaced keys allow the passionate Facebook devotees to type messages like a breeze. The keypad of Status is in no way inferior to that of a laptop. It has space bar, up-down and right-left keys and enter button. These special keys will make it convenient for the users to type lengthy mails or comments.

On the inside, the Status has a wide assortment of goodies for your entertainment. It packs a Qualcomm MSM7227 Turbo SoC with an 800MHz CPU and an Adreno 200 GPU. Add to this, quadband GSM support and HSPA connectivity over 850/1900 MHz bands. 512 MB memory can store a load of data and for high speed data transfer there is WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, EDGE and GPRS. The operating system is Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread). And the most startling revelation about the phone is its dedicated Facebook button that glitters to tell you that it is here. A simple press and you are in the Facebook.

If it is not social networking site that attracts you then you can search the website that you frequent most. HSDPA, HSUPA connectivity will take you to the world tour through web where you can do the stuff you always want to do. To make your web search less tiring, Status offers Google Search option. In addition, you can also take advantage of the Gmail, Google Talk and YouTube. The phone has MP3 and WAV ringtones, accelerometer sensor and proximity sensor for auto turn-off. Simply put, the HTC Status has everything that others don’t.

A 5 MP camera completes the phone and this is the least that can be described in words about the blazing HTC Status. Smartphone users always grudge about their phones not working up to their expectations and they will doubt the Status too but after using the phone they will certainly praise this gem from the brand HTC. It has been promoted on the Internet as a Facebook phone but in reality it is a perfect handset that is designed to cater to the requirements of present mobile users. The dedicated Facebook button reveals that the phone keeps the users’ demand in high spirit.
