What all we need other than website design?
Web designers will make you believe that a Good looking website is enough for achieving an online success. When a customer comes to your website, they will like or don’t like whatever is present in the website. I do not disagree with this statement; but try to answer the following questions regarding your website:
1) Who will bring the visitors to my website: Though one may have a very good cheap web design, but think about, who would bring those customers to your website? Is it just the design or there are other features of the website design that your website designer should lay essence on. The competition for modern website designers begins when there is a challenge to come up with a web site design that is not only attractive to visitors but also to Search Engines like Google and yahoo. Most of the visitors will visit through these two search engines. A good cheap website developer will develop a web design that will be both eye-catching to a naked eye and search engine technologies.
2) How to preserve customer attention: With a good website design, you may excite the customer temporarily as they visit your company website. However, after those initial moments who will keep the customer interested in your website? A customer spends time on your website if they find enough information on the website. The content of the website should motivate them. It should not just offer the sales but should also educate them. This can also guarantee that the customers will return to your website in future.
3) How will the customers navigate: Information at a website is for the customers and if they cannot find it is of no use! A good rule of thumb is that no information should be more than 3 clicks away on your website. So a Good designer should present the information in such a way so that it can be navigated easily without problems.
4) Will the people be able to find us and be able to contact us easily: Another phase of a website design is that many web developers and web designers do not focus “contact details”! Our Suggestion is that the contact details should be easily visible on the website. Make sure phone, fax, email and physical address are provided clearly. This helps in generating trust between the business entity and the customer.
5) Do we need a Content Management System:
If the budget allows to maintain and update the website yourself then
One should go for CMS by contacting the website developer.
A Content Management System (CMS) is a website application that allows managing your website without any familiarity of website development. This allows you to keep the information updated on your website and provides a professional look to your website.
