Change Your Life (Transform Your Life in 21 Days)

Maybe your life is perfect, the kids get straight “A’s” in school, the dog makes nice with the cat and your home never gets “TP’d”, thus you have no need to change your life - If that’s the case, good for you. Fantastic. But for most, times are a bit difficult right now. The economy is stagnant, property values are down and there are millions of people out of work.

While it is true that the most important things in life are free, having economical security can go a long way in allowing those ‘things’ to be a lot more enjoyable. Let’s face it; it’s much easier to enjoy a walk on the beach with someone special when you’re not worrying about the next mortgage payment.

Granted, there’s no easy way to become financially secure, but there are tools, which when applied over time, can help one achieve their monetary dreams. So where do you start?

I recently happened across a very powerful e-book called “Transform Your Life in 21 Days”. What I like most about this particular book is its simplicity. Quite often, so-called “self-help” books, though well intentioned, fall short in actually delivering on their promises. Why you ask? Well, in my opinion, even though the information provided may be valid, the presentation, often, renders it virtually useless. How many times have you picked up a “great “ book, only to find that the information was so complicated and overwhelming, that by the time you finished reading it, you were asking yourself; “now what?” In other words, you didn’t know how to apply it and therefore take “action”.

Not so with Transform Your Life. The author, Gordon Bryan, lays out the information in a simple, concise and straightforward manner.

There are 21 “thoughts” (well actually 22, there’s a bonus chapter). Each thought is designed to get you to focus on just one concept each day for 21 days. The idea is that each day builds on the other, like layers, until y you reach the end. This is in keeping with the accept length of time it takes to psychologically build a new habit, or stop and old one.

The sections are lean and to the point just the way I like it. This, in my opinion makes it easy to understand and then take action.

My favorite chapter or “thought” is the first; “2 Beliefs Essential For Success”, which actually gives you two concepts to mull over: The first belief is that it will happen The second belief is in yourself as a person, and your right to succeed and enjoy abundance.

Your job is to read the belief or thought, the explanation that the author gives and then implement them into your own belief system and take action.

Do that for 21 days, repeat as necessary and you can change your life!

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.

Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth -
People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
Re: Favorite Christmas movies Re: Favorite Christmas movies -
I do have to say I've never liked[i:1rxsgr0t] It's A Wonderful Life[/i:1rxsgr0t]. He spends all his life having his hopes and dreams shattered, feeling miserable, and its only at the end of his life that he can look back and realize how many friends he has, etc. But that doesn't change the fact that up until that point he was miserable![/quote:1rxsgr0t] I love the sentimentality around watching that movie with your Mom! Chtistmas is made up of all those sentimental things. "It's A Wonderful Life" is all about perspective, much in the same way that Scrooge is 'realigned' in Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" - which I listen to on CD every year (sometimes twice!) Happy Christmas Everyone! Regards Martin
