Deep Analysis of Three Major Upgrades on iPhone 4S's Camera
It
is a truth that iPhone 4S reveives most attention among this years'
devices. Although, many upgrades on hardware are not satisfied by
most of the Apple Fans, iPhone 4S's camera is really satisfied me. On
one hand, the brand new 800 million pixels back-illuminated CMOS
camear is 60% higher than the previous iPhone 4, on the other hand,
it is worth to talk about the series attempts of iPhone 4S on taking
photogragh. Today, I will talk about the Three major upgrades of
iPhone 4S's camera.
How
is the photo effect of iPhone 4S?
In
2011, 800 million pixels is not at the leading position. Apple
upgrades iPhone 4S's camera to 800 million pixels just as its always
negligence to camera. Tough the hardware is not that outstanding, we
can see that the previous iPhone 4's photo effect is superior to
other mobile phones. So I am really excitting to see the iPhone 4S's
camera.
This
time Apple gives iPhone 4S's camera three major upgrades: 800 million
pixels, 1080p full HD video and faster response speed.
Nowadays,
people is more and more reasonable on camera's pixels. People no
longer think that the higher the pixel is, the better the camera is.
That's right. Under the same sensor technology, the high pixel
sometimes brings users more noise and longer save time. At the same
time, people now are using twitter and mobile phone's screen is now
1280 * 720 most, too many pixel can not be seen on the screen.
From
my pion of view, I think the 800 million pixel does mean something
for iPhone 4S. Why? Because iOS is a kind of operating system that
"depending on app". On the publish conference, Tim Coke,
the CEO of Apple, talks about iCould more than once which connecting
iOS and Mac OS closely. On the big screen of iMac 27, people can
enjoy every corner of the photo from iPhone 4S's 800 million pixels
camera. That is to say that app makes iPhone 4S having such high
pixels.
Altough
cellphone video share tech is not that common for people as cell
phone's photo share today, with the development of 3G and 4G, it will
be a common thing for users to share videos from their mobile phones.
From iPhone 4, iphone family support taking HD video (not the highest
one), but its effect is acceptable, even better than some kind of DC.
Iphone
4S supports full HD video taking as the prediction of media and
analysis. We can not say anyting about it before we see the official
sample of its full HD video from iPhone 4S. But one thing is
definiately true that 1920*1080 HD video will be used more and more
widely with the development of monitor and mobile device's support to
full HD video.
Some
fans may notice that iPhone 4S supports electronic image
stabilization, which is underestimate by people for its lowing the
video quality. But if you use it in the right way, it is a great tech
of course, especially when you are taking video. Under the support of
right algorithm, its effect is perfect, even better than the first
generation of optical image stabilization.
Image
sensor, lens and image processor are the three major technology of a
camera. Lens is the same, image sensor got major upgrade, now let us
talk about iPhone 4S's upgrade on processor. Compare with BIGIC and
Bionz's single processor, iPhone 4S's brain A5 is dual-core and
responssible for processing all the info of iPhone 4S, including
photo and video. The official saying of Apple is A5 is 7x faster than
A4. From the two generation of iPad, we know that A5 is much powerful
than A4. That is a good thing for removing the noise on the photo of
iPhone 4S. Also iPhone 4S is 33% faster than iPhone 4 on system
response speed. This allows users to take pictures on fast moving
things and reduce the interval time of two photos. Apple said that on
focus speed, white balance and metering accuracy, iPhone 4S is much
better than its previous.
Let
us come to the conclusion, altough iPhone 4S's upgrade is not that
impressive than the iPad 2's, you can see how much Apple care from
the iPhone 4S's camera.

I own an iPhone and I have no problem with the batteries. I am a pretty heavy Internet user and if I don't watch videos or listen too much music (which I don't), I recharge my iPhone every other day.... exactly the same frequency as my old blackberry pearl.
Re: iPhone Apps: Biz Idea!
- San Diego, California – Got an idea for a killer iPhone app? With more than 1 billion applications sold since its launch last July, Apple’s iPhone App Store has become one of the fastest-growing tech enterprises in recent history, and gained a reputation as something of a developer’s goldmine. Success stories such as that of Ethan Nicholas, whose iShoot app has earned him $900,000 in eight months, have only added to the App Store’s appeal for would-be iPhone entrepreneurs.
“The runaway success of the App Store has created the legend of the iPhone millionaire,” says Ian Maskell, principal of iPhone App Freelancer, a company aiming to make it possible to get your idea into the App Store without technical knowledge and minimal financial outlay.
“Everywhere we went people would say: ‘I’ve got a great idea for an app.’ We saw an opportunity to level the playing field and allow anyone the ability to become the next success story, regardless of their ability to program or write code.”
So Maskell launched iPhone App Freelancer, a website offering the ability to turn great ideas into apps with little or no programming knowledge.
Rob Shoesmith, a 27-year-old garbage collector from Coventry – England, submitted one of the first ideas to iPhone App Freelancer for development. Shoesmith says he has only had an iPhone for a few months, but has been following the growth of the App Store since its launch. He wants to keep the specifics of his app under wraps until its launch, but describes it as a user-generated advice service.
You don't need the new iPhone

Many of you have seen the video and reviews of the new iPhone 4S, and yes, it looks great.
Don’t rush out to order it. Here’s why: you don’t need it.
True, it is sleek and sexy and full of great features like a great camera and personal assistant and a better screen, etc. But you don’t need it today any more than you needed it yesterday, or 5 years ago.
Yesterday, without the new iPhone, your life was good. Some of you were happy and content and were actually able to do your work and get on with your life without the new iPhone.
Today, Apple announces its newest device, and the press and tech bloggers swoon. We all have to get the latest device, or we’ll no longer be hip, we’ll no longer be part of the “in” crowd.
And yet, is it really that essential? I’ve wanted an iPhone for almost 5 years now, but haven’t bought one because I know I don’t need it. Will it make my life a bit more fun? Sure, possibly — but so will a walk in the park with my kids, or a hike with a friend, or a free book at the library. I don’t need to spend $199 plus thousands of dollars on a 2-year contract to make my life a bit more fun.
Five years ago, the iPhone didn’t exist. It wasn’t a need in your life. You were able to live perfectly without it. And now that it does exist, all of that is true.
It’s Apple’s marketing that has worked on us, and we’re fools for it.
The same, of course, is true of all other technology and sleek consumerist products. It’s just that Apple is better at it than most.
Don’t give in. Fight the marketing, by noticing and letting go of the urges that marketing creates in us. Find contentment without products. You’re better than that.
Re: Fashion
- Nana,
At you choice you may choose to research the fashion industry a bit more. There is obviously a Business side to it as well as a creative side to it. Find out all the types of roles that exist in the industry. Some that come to mind merchandiser, Window dresser, floor plan organizer (someone needs to determine the layout of a retail store to best sell the goods), fashion consultant (Yorkdale mall has fashion consultants that take you around and tell you what looks great on you - you also get a cut from the sales). This is what I've observed from the business side, you may know more.
All these roles I've written about will help you grow as a business person and make the contacts in the industry...possible stepping stones.
But further more you'll also notice that you need to develop some business acumen possibly tailored to the fashion industry.
When I was at Ryerson I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur someday too. I knew I needed some basic business courses to get a foundation to build from.
I was in a Tech/Business Major (I'm sure Fashion has something similar - Fashion/Business Major) and then started to create my own minor.
Here are some of the courses I took: Marketing, Law, Entrepreneurial, Management, consulting.. and a few more .
Also, I'm sure that within the Fashion Major there are also courses you have to take where you can use your creative side and create designs. Typically within a Major there are focuses you can choose - ask the program coordinator.
Your next step is to do some research.
1. Visit Commercial retail outlets like H&M, Banana Republic, or jacob. Tell the Manager your doing some research for University and would like to know what types of Corporate roles exist aside from the roles on the retail floor (like sales associates). If she asks you to elaborate then you can use some of the roles I mentioned above.
2. With this information in hand you can visit the Ryerson Fashion department and inquire with the Program Coordinator on what focus within the Fashion Degree would help you the most. In my program there were 5 different focuses within the Tech/Business program.
Just a quick aside. A good friend of mine too has a dream of fashion. he want to create a niche fashion line tailored to skinny men (I can't mention the style). He's in Business school but not in the Fashion program... He's in International Business but all his Minor courses are tailored to running a successful business ... similar to the ones I mentioned above for myself.
I have no doubt in my mind he'll make it 'cos his vision is that strong.
