Some manufactures offer bigger capability batteries but a higher price. Additionally consider the usable lifespan of the battery as replacement is expensive. If you\'re solely going to use the laptop from mains electricity then battery performance does not matter.

Consideration also needs to be given to guarantee and extended guarantee as laptops are not always very reliable. In any given transaction, you will post an equal amount of debits and credits to the associated accounts. An example would be if you were to write a check for $500 to office depot for office supplies. The posted transaction would be: DEBIT Office Supplies $500.00 CREDIT Bank Account $500.00 Once the transaction is posted, it will automatically show up on the appropriate financial statement report. laptop vs. Desktop - I'm not a heavy gamer or graphics person so a Laptop is ideal for me for all the obvious reasons (portability, wireless, work on the go, etc etc) Major downside is the battery power and the cost to replace it - half as much as the cost of the laptop on my current IBM.
secure my connection - I agree with Link's second post. Security is a personal sticky issue and possibly not the first service you should introduce yourself at the door. I'd suggest also the Back to School "In-Home" Computer tuneup (it's such a pain to take your computer in for servicing) and promise that they would see a smoother and faster computer. You can hand them a 2 page report on the benefits of having a computer tuneup -> this is critical. After you are gone this is the only piece of information that they will have to begin trusting you and want to have you in their home. You can sneak at the bottom of the report the benefits of having a wireless connection and the importance of Securing it. finish off the report with two dotted rounded rectangle boxes beside each other. One has a free Computer tune up assessment and the other a free wireless network security test. If they take you up on either you can test for the other. You now have two sources of possible income.

Re: Who are the key players in your life? - I'd have to say my family, who supported me when I first started out in business for myself... especially my sister, who bought me my Laptop! A supportive family can make anyone a success. A non-supportive family - would make it very tough, I would think. All the more reason to only allow positive-thinking people in to your life and ditch anyone who brings you down with nagging or slighting jokes, et al!
