WiMax: The story of extremely fast internet

Information is sent to and received from large transmitting devices which are operated by a WiMax service provider. Wimax has great potential for developing various types of services for new generation. Using the technology you can connect internet anywhere and browse any site and make possible online conference with mobile internet, multimedia application etc. A single station of WiMax has such a high capacity that it can provide coverage for hundred of users at a time and manage sending and receiving of data at very high speed with full of network security. Wimax technology is very easy and elastic. It provides maximum reliability of network and authority to the end users accessing the network. Wimax is more beneficial in highly populated areas due to its high speed of connectivity over long distance and high speed voice. It pushes the existing mobile application technologies forward on steady stream. The success of this technology lies in the support that it gives to both wireless and wired network including cable operators. Wimax has many great advantages such as its ability to perform various services over a single station and that it requires less operating and capital expenditure. Another important advantage of WiMax service is that it has reached the remote as well as rural areas. WiMAX will also bring broadband Internet to people who previously had few or no broadband options. In rural areas, due to the high cost of installing the infrastructure of a broadband service it was difficult for people to get a connection, but with the help of telecom software companies WiMax will cover large areas with little infrastructure. Wimax services can access in the interior area due to higher capacity of the tower station. If you need a high speed communication you have WiMax access available. In WiMax all services are delivered over an IP architecture relying on IP-based protocols for end-to-end transport, Quality of Service, session management, security and mobility. The basic and most important feature of Wimax technology is to support mobility applications as VoIP. The battery life of handheld devices is extended using the WiMax technology power saving tools.

As we all know WiMAX is still in its early years but the way it is becoming popular is exceptional. It is as simple as buying an Internet plan and using it from any part in your city. WiMax is becoming increasingly popular because of the low investment required to set up a WiMax network compared to other available alternatives. WiMax is of great use to the people whose business depends largely on the internet. It is a technology where you don't even need a computer to access the internet, just a phone in your hand can get you connected across the globe. It has made it possible to access the net through your mobile phones which is indeed a great advantage.

Re: Become a Leader? It scared the hell out of me! Re: Become a Leader? It scared the hell out of me! - That is a great story, thanks so much for sharing. Your's is not a common one, but there are many of us here who can relate to it I'm sure as we have all experienced very similar things over our collective years of internet business ventures, growth, expansion, activities and interacting with our website visitors, and other like minded internet marketers, to one degree or another. Over the last 15 years or so I personally have seen a tremendous growth in my online business activities becoming friends and associated with entrepreneurs I would have never dreamed I would become involved with, so I can personally relate to your story. I'm so busy now that I haven't had time to drop in here as often as I would like, having half a dozen extremely large and high profile business projects in the works all at the same time! Fortunately I'm joint venturing with a dozen or so other experienced and some very high profile marketers who help ease the load. We've all been around long enough to understand quality business models do take time to put together, and we understand doing it right the first time is key. I commend you for your perseverance and self motivation to achieve the level of success you are enjoying now, and it looks evident you will continue to achieve even more. Best wishes and thanks again for sharing.
Re: New Google Tool Makes Websites Twice as Fast Re: New Google Tool Makes Websites Twice as Fast - Hey GT, Thanks for taking the time to reply and provide that information. I'm sure your ISP has something to do that with too, and people with slower internet speeds would be impacted differently. I imagine speed is a concern mainly because there are a lot of people that do have slower internet speeds compared to those fortunate enough to have a super-fast connection. Anything to help improve performance is a plus. I guess my next question would be: what's the difference between a VPS and a dedicated server, if any? Are they one and the same?

Why Do Some Franchise Businesses Fail? Why Do Some Franchise Businesses Fail? - Buying a franchise business is supposed to be the least risk way to start a business. But is owning a franchise guaranteed to make you money? Not necessarily… the truth is that some business franchises are extremely hard work especially in the fast food industry. Most people know about the franchise industry due to the fast food franchises that specialise in providing the same quality of food all over the world. They guarantee the same eating experience irrespective of where in the world you buy a meal. Think about it, in the food industry, you have to open your business in time for breakfast and stay open until late evening. Most fast food franchise owners can easily work a 12 hour day. They can also forget about weekends off as this is the busiest time for sales! This business would only suit somebody who is prepared to work hard for at least 60 to 70 hours a week! The people who joined the fast food industry in the early days by buying a franchise opportunity have done remarkably well. Now, in many areas, this market is saturated with many different franchises trying to compete for your food money. They range from sandwich shops, coffee houses, burger joints, fried chicken outlets, donut establishments and pizza stores. As the rates and rents for high street premises have risen in value, the cost of a meal in these fast food franchises have actually fallen when you take inflation into account. This has meant that overheads have risen whilst income streams have dipped. It is now harder then ever to make serious money with a fast food franchise opportunity. To compete in this ever burgeoning market place, fast food franchisors are now demanding very expensive shop fittings so that the business can be highly visible and comfortable for the customers. They are also offering regular special offers which are often sold at near cost price, making their franchisees next to no money and generating a lot more work. Another problem for franchise owners is the regular franchise fees that have to be paid to the franchisor. These combined with huge staffing costs and high rentals can all add up to reduce the profitability of the business model. In recent times the market has become even more competitive with supermarkets now entering the fast food business. Many supermarkets are open 24 hours a day and you can pop in and buy decent food extremely cheaply. They have fast food counters where you can buy fried or roasted chicken, pizzas (made with your own choice of toppings), curries and salads without making a huge dent in your pocket. Supermarkets also have another weapon in their armoury. With the advance in food preparation techniques and improvements in packaging, cheap ready made meals combined with the falling costs of microwaves mean that some families never need to go near a fast food franchise, even if they do not like to cook. Even fuel stations have entered the fast food industry. Many outlets now sell meals that you can microwave in minutes after filling up fuel. The final problem in the fast food industry has been the improvements in food quality and hygiene being demanded by the ever increasing health and food regulations which are designed to protect us from undercooked, stale or contaminated food. Anybody serving food now has to keep extensive records and maintain the food storage areas to precise temperatures. Fresh ingredients, if not used by a certain date have often got to be chucked away. This leads to wastage especially in foods like salad which do not have a high shelf life. Taking all the above into account, the market is now extremely competitive and in some areas totally saturated. Be very careful if you are deciding to buy a fast food franchise opportunity and do your homework carefully. Make sure you take proper business advice from your accountant and franchise lawyer.
Re: Video conference system for families living in different cou Re: Video conference system for families living in different cou - 1) How much will someone pay for the service? 2.1) What costs are involved on the business end? 2.2) What percent on top of that do you think you deserve as profit? 3) How many people will sign up for the service? These three will give you a rough estimate of the value of your idea. use the equation below with respect to the questions above to figure out the value of your idea. ((1 - (2.1 + 2.2)) X 3) You have alread identified major problems for your idea -- you have competition that is free! Computers are easy to hook to televisions, and it is becoming easier at very fast rate. (For free stuff other than skype, look up NetMeeting if you have Windows XP.) The video conferencing systems do a poor job of creating the feel of a physical presence. Even high dollar systems with dedicated internet bandwidth and extremely nice tracking video cameras do a poor job, especially for long distance runs. I have the experienced the disappointing performance of some of these systems on our campus. Video can not recreate the connection felt when in the same room with another person. Step 1, Quickly and roughly calculate the cost of the system you propose. Step 2, Compare that with what you think someone will pay and the cost of your current compeition. Step 3, Go / No-Go.
