If you have used an iPhone, you must have noticed that it loses battery power really quickly. While iPhones are powerful and stable, they are not strong on the battery end. So if you are going out for more than a day, you need to conserve your battery. Here are some battery saving tips for your iPhone.
Lower screen brightness
Though there are many people say that auto brightness is the best, but a good about technology will suggest you to turn off the auto brightness and use the screen at minimum possible brightness. This is because auto brightness is too bright in most cases. This is why it is recommended to setup brightness manually.
Turn off Bluetooth
Bluetooth networking is used when you have to connect a headset to your iPhone, or if you have to share data with other iPhone users. So if you don't need Bluetooth, just switch it off because it drains a lot of battery.
Turn off Wi-Fi
Just like Bluetooth, if you are not using Wi-Fi on your phone, just turn it off. When Wi-Fi is on, the iPhone constantly keeps checking for strong Wi-Fi signals in range and tries to connect to them. Because of this scanning process every few seconds, a lot of battery juice is lost.
Turn off your location services
iPhones come with built in GPS or location services. This helps your iPhone in detecting your location so that it can provide you driving directions. For these features, it needs battery power. So if you don't really need driving directions, or if you don't need other apps that make use of your location, it is important to switch off location services.
Turn off push notifications
Push notifications make our lives much easier with instant email, Facebook and Twitter notifications. And there are other uses of Push notifications as well. But if you don't want any push notifications presently, you can turn them off and save the battery. Since your iPhone constantly searches through its connections to see if you have received any notifications, it eats up a lot of battery. Turning off these notifications means no extra battery drainage.
Auto lock period
When you don't use your iPhone for some time, it goes to sleep (or locks automatically). This auto lock feature saves the battery of your iPhone, but there is no use to make the iPhone wait for 10 minutes before it sleeps. Generally an auto lock period of 1 minute is ideal so that it can sleep after 1 minute if it is not being disturbed. This saves a lot of battery.
