Top 10 Reasons Why You Need a Coach or Mentor

You may find it difficult to justify additional expenses right now and I’m going to advise you that it is PRECISELY the time to invest in yourself.

The economy may be slower than we’d like, however, this is the time when people are more creative about working with others and services may be more affordable. Jump on the opportunity to work with a coach and mentor – I hope you’ll choose me – and get ready to kick off the academic year with a bang. Here are some things a coach can offer you, should you take that step.

1. Keeps you accountable and on track. It’s easy as an entrepreneur to blow off what we don’t have to report to someone – even ourselves. In the end though, it only hurts us and our business. Having a coach keeps you on track to reach the goals you set for yourself.

2. No man (or woman) is an island. I know I’ve preached this to all of you before, but I don’t do it all alone and neither should you. You’ll be amazed at when you begin to outsource the non-revenue producing items that are necessary for your business to run, but take up too much of your time – you’ll flourish. Allow me to walk you through how I do it and how other successful business owners do the same.

If you haven’t ordered it already, I have only 8 copies left of the original Ultimate Sponsorship Manual for only $320 – the price is going up after my Preview Call for the Virtual Class to $995 plus shipping and handling, so check it out by Clicking Here

3. Helps you to focus on the important things. I mean this in life and in work. Balance is necessary, if you’re going to have a successful business. You need time to regenerate and renew yourself in order to create new ideas, products and services to better serve your prospects and clients – and make friends with family and friends as well.

4. You become more organized and productive. Having to check in on a regular basis with someone outside your organization, forces you to get organized and driven to check off some of those items you may be procrastinating on your to-do list. This alone saves you a tremendous about of money and allows you to make more money too. I promise – it will be FUN, as well.

5. You have an objective sounding board in a lonely world of being an entrepreneur – especially a solo-preneur. Consider this therapy for the business owner. I’m here to listen and offer constructive feedback, suggestions and yes, pose a few questions to get you thinking about how to move your business to the next level. It’s painless, believe me and you’ll feel better after each group session.

6. You’ll be a better help to your client as a benefit of coaching. When you’re being coached, it’s like magic – you become a better consultant and advisor to your clients. There’s something in the process of receiving objective feedback that provides you with the desire and skill set to do the same for your clients. Remember, the more they know like and trust you, the more business they’ll want to do with you as well.

7. Helps you to implement what you learn. Because you’re accountable to an outside source, you are more motivated to implement what you learn and take action. When you do this, you become more successful and visible in your clients and prospects minds.

8. Less stress when you’re working with someone who has your interests at heart and understands the plight of the entrepreneur. When you have someone to discuss your ups and downs with in business, it alleviates the stress of business ownership. You’ll get sound advice with an understanding of what you’re going through from someone who has been there, done that. Take a breath and let it out and be open to problem solving together.

9. Access to invaluable resources and professional contacts. Here’s where the rubber really meets the road. If I knew then, what I know now and had the resources, vendors, colleagues that I have access to today – I would have gotten here much more quickly than it’s taken me. With my coaching you have access to all that and more. Lucky you!

10. A cheerleader who is driven by hearing and learning of your success and will spread the word on your behalf as well. There is nothing that gives me greater pleasure than to hear and learn about your successes. Without that, I wouldn’t do this. For those of you who know me well, know that I am a true “connector” and will always introduce you to someone I know can help and vice versa. I love listening to you toot your horn – if I don’t hear it, I’ll make special request!

Re: Business Women Peer Mentoring Spotlight Re: Business Women Peer Mentoring Spotlight - That is a great idea, David. This is what I had in mind for the Women's section, but it makes sense to post in on the main site. Of course, I'm waiting for some women to step up to the plate and share how they could use some support on taking the next step with their business! If you are a Business Woman reading this, I invite you to consider that this is not displaying weakness in any form. Peer mentoring and Coaching is incredibly valuable. You get to bounce your ideas off others, hear perspectives from outside your own box, and feel the power of others cheering you on. To me, it's wisdom to use all of our available resources to move towards business success. That's why I have my own Coach and my own Mentor Coaching Group. I also offer that to my clients. These are services one usually has to pay for and you could enjoy some of it free right here! So who wants to start? Can you tell I'm excited about the possibilities for you even before you begin? Warmly, Tami

Re: Business Coaching Resources Re: Business Coaching Resources - You're fortunate when you can find a Business Coach who has experience beyond where you've been and even where you are going. When your budget is slim and even after, it's good to have a mentor. Several of various backgrounds are very useful. They can be teachers, professors, pastors, business people, family members, bosses and former bosses. You have to be clear on what you want and what you desire to achieve, be able to convey it as simply as possible. Stop and listen and don't over tax their time. You should always expect results whether from a Business Coach or Mentors. If you're not gtting results, you're either not focused or you need to upgrade the quality of your mentors/coaches. Always surround yourself by people smarter than you.

On Mentors On Mentors - I've been fortunate that in every endevour I've taken on I have found a Mentor within that niche to guide me and help me learn from my mistakes. I've matured so much faster and more focused just by having someone listen to where i am at in my current day and in having someone to be accountable to. I've been blessed by having mentors naturally come into my life but if I wanted to approach one how would I go about developing the relationship and then asking them to mentor me?
