Discover the Power of E-Book Marketing for your Website

E-book marketing is an excellent way to promote your business.  Using e-book marketing to promote your business is also a great way to drive "high quality traffic" to your website.  Quality traffic is people who are specifically interested in the products or services you have to offer. 

Sarah, owner of a small business that provides natural cleaning and personal care products, discovered the benefits of e-book marketing.  She found that offering a free e-book drew people to her website, and tempted people to try some of her natural products, as they only needed to purchase a small amount to be sent the e-book.  From her e-book, she created smaller reports to add to her website, which helped to create pertinent and current information on her website.  Adding new content to a website is critical to ranking high with the search engines.  Sarah found that ranking high with the search engines is essential for success, as this is how you will become "noticed" on the Internet.  Once Sarah completed her e-book and posted it on her website, she also went one step further and created a new form of cash flow.  She announced the launch of her new e-book and sold it for $35! 

Tips on Free E-Book Marketing:

  • Provide high quality information that is "in demand". As in Sarah's case, people are interested in "going green" and "all natural". Find a topic within your services or products that people have a need or desire to learn more about.
  • Your e-book should be for informational purposes only. People will not want to read an e-book that does not have useful information. This will reflect poorly on your reputation, which will bring a negative influence, rather than a positive one.
  • While you do not want the e-book to be promotional, you do want to provide information that relates to your business. For example, Sarah created an e-book that provided information on the dangers of store brand cleaning and personal care products, while also including the many advantages and success stories of using natural products.
  • Always provide a link to your website. This is a less subtle way to promote your business. You should try to include one link per page.
  • While links are essential, they are not enough. You must provide a compelling reason for them to follow your link. As in Sarah's case, she provided strong evidence to why people should eliminate store brand products from their homes. People were then interested in following her link to find out how they could do this.
  • Encourage your readers to come to you for more information. If you provide accurate and pertinent information in your e-book, this is your first step for creating a bond of trust. They will begin to feel they can trust the information you are providing.
  • Encourage those who read your e-book to share it with others. This simple encouragement is a free e-book marketing tool that could reach thousands, or even millions more by just giving that one person the idea to share it with others. Personal referrals are very powerful!
