Low And No Budget Home Based Businesses Any Woman Can Start Part Seven

Service Businesses are in tremendous demand in this fast paced world, and the quickest and easiest way to go if you need to get up and running fast with a small business of your own, especially if you are like the majority of women and traditionally have less access to venture funding.

Here are some more examples of businesses that require little or no money up front:

Virtual Secretary, Assistant or Transcriber

Are you good with words and organization? If you are, a virtual secretarial service business may be the perfect solution, especially in this day and age when so much business can be done online from the comfort of your own home. A virtual secretarial business is fairly easy to market since a large number of people from all walks of life and even more businesses can use someone to type, transcribe and other organizational tasks. Virtual secretaries can also be a live voice on the other end of the telephone for smaller operations that do not want to risk losing potential clients who are turned off by answering machines and voice mail systems.

The only thing you may need for this type of job is a program(if you are using a computer) and the necessary forms and paperwork to help organize and properly prepare the paperwork. If you have to supply the paperwork, you can charge additionally for this.

You will want to advertise at your local office supply store. If you want to target businesses you may want to look into local online business directories, and free classified ads. If nothing else, you can put an ad in your local newspaper and go from there.

Miscellaneous Online Entrepreneurial Ventures

Throughout these suggestions I have mentioned posting your ad on your local, free online classified ads. If you do not have one, you can start your own usually for less than $50.00. These businesses give you a great advantage since everyone who comes to the website to post their ad, will see your “Sponsored By” ad at the top or bottom of every page. Plus, while you are advertising your new business you can also advertise you new virtual business or community service website as well. Think about it, it only takes one extra line of text on your business card for a web address!

There are also many different turnkey Biz in a Box type websites that you can purchase such as those I sell at LadyWeb.Biz for example. Whoever you choose to purchase your turnkey Biz In A Box from will probably include free installation, and be able to guide you to inexpensive website hosting and a domain name.

Re: Most and Least Profitable Businesses to Start Re: Most and Least Profitable Businesses to Start - I can say something about the "Least Profitable Businesses to Start" when someone thinks about creating a product before knowing what the market really wants. This happens more often than people realize. People often get trapped into coming up with something it might work but if the market doesn't want that kind of stuff, no matter how innovative the idea may be, it'll turn bad. Like I might be able to come up a way to "... store all of my spam emails into one junk box and keep it stored on the web forever!" -- hey, who wants that kind of stuff.
Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff
