Super Guru Mega Launches Are They All Just Scams
Super Guru Mega Launches Are They All Just Scams
Personally I find the widely used Internet Marketing term "squeeze page" offensive. I do not want to "squeeze" i.e. "pressure" anyone into purchasing one of my products and I resent others trying to do so to me.
I regularly delete any pack-runner emails that arrive promoting hot new releases. They may be the greatest thing since store bought soap, but the whole Guru "You promote mine and I'll promote yours." thing has turned off a lot of innocent people who feel that have lied to, scammed, or just "hurriedly or foolishly squeezed" into purchasing something they could not afford by one or more of the so-called Gurus...or their affiliate buddies.
The real problem with the whole high priced, mega launch Guru thing is that many of them are just “snake oil salesmen” touting high priced “miracle” cures. Of course, some are honest business people offering good quality products where the only catch is that you actually have to put in some work and effort; but they still invariably use the same “Squeeze Em 'til It Hurts!” tactics. It is these very tactics that make it truly difficult for the ones who are trying to earn a fair and honest living online by quietly offering reasonably priced products of genuine value. Once burned, twice wary. When Gurus—genuine or not—sell an elaborate or sophisticated product for hundreds of dollars and someone purchases it and either simply does not use it because they have been "squeezed" into believing it is the key to instantly-solve-all-of-your-problems-wealth, or otherwise ends up feeling--or actually even being--scammed, "everyone" in Internet Marketing gets burned by the backlash...and some unfairly so.
In Internet Marketing you will often hear the refrain, “The money is in the list.” I have a reasonably large list, but I will not promote anything to them that I have not personally tested, or anything other than the products I personally sell which offer a 100% money back guarantee that I control. To me the chance to make a commission by promoting an expensive (or even cheap) product that could easily end up hurting some poor "desperate to make money" soul, is just not worth it.
Many of my list members regularly write me, and a lot of them are elderly, disabled, single parents, or otherwise overworked and unpaid people just trying to make ends meet. I probably have a lot more of these types on my list because I have a membership site that offers a free turnkey product every month that makes it easy for beginners to get started, so they actually do not have to buy anything to benefit from my site. In fact, the very foundation of my online business is giving away something of value for free in order to introduce people to my “purchase optional” permanent line of reasonably priced products that help beginners get started online. I probably could make much more money just flying under the radar and doing affiliate marketing; but I have have been lucky enough to structure my business so it will allow me to do things that I enjoy, while also helping others and providing a valuable service. For me it is all a win-win.
As far as I am concerned, the Gurus have every right to make money at any price as long as they do so fairly and honestly. I just wish they would all offer and stand behind a genuine 100% money back guarantee. Sure they will get scammed by one or two dishonest people that will take their product and run; but that is a risk they—or anyone else—should be willing to take if they are going to be in business online. After all, if you are truly an honest business person isn't it better to risk losing a few dollars to someone who buys your product and then unfairly grabs a refund, than to risk harming another human being over a few extra bucks in your pocket?

I cannot answer your question about this particular Guru's mega launch product, other than to say he is one of the more famous Gurus online and has an excellent reputation. I have not promoted or purchased this product or any other of his, nor do I intend to do so. The fact of the matter is, I have only been "squeezed" into purchasing one high priced release in the last three years. It was an expensive mistake, not quite a scam, but darned close. I have not repeated this mistake since, and it is one that I hope never to be "squeezed" into repeating it in the future.
