Wireless Laptop Internet Access - Connect or Disconnect?
Laptop Wireless Internet Access is not a luxury for most in our society it is a Necessity! Our business world has become dependent on this service. Even though we have made astonishing leaps forward in wireless internet access technologies there are many loopholes still to be filled.
But Why I Ask?
We were able to launch two spacecraft, Voyager I and Voyager II in 1977 and we are still receiving signal from both of them which are at then edge of the Universe, farther than any craft made by man has ever been. Yet we cannot put a satellite up in our atmosphere that gives a continues signal for our Internet needs. Makes one wonder what's going on but that's for another time and place.
The good thing is...
Today most individuals can gain laptop wireless internet access through their Local Area Networks (lan), WiFi Hot Spotsand Aircards which is a great help. Even our cell phones can be transformed and connected to the internet through satellites.
We even have satellite TV services at our disposal for those that are unable to acquire cable or local TV services. Yet we are unable to send a satellite into space that will give us a continuous signal for all these new devices we have become so dependent on.
So What's Next?
Would you believe a Video Phone where you can talk and see the person you're speaking to in real time. Why not we have received pictures back from far off planets in our solar system. Why not be able to see and speak to someone on the other side of the planet.
Would you believe that the Video Phone has already arrived and is being proclaimed as the Telecommunications Device of the Future and in case you missed it Donald Trump one of the wealthiest men in the world says he runs his business using it. He also states, "It Is The Wave of the Future."
The Question ???
Why can't we put satellites in space that give us a continuous signal? Maybe they don't want to because someone sure would loose a lot of money. All these big corporations who are raking in the cash on coverage and carrier services wouldn't like the idea of a stable internet signal now would they.
Well there isn't much we can do about the satellite and signal issue but there is one thing we can investigate and that is how the telecommunications industry is expanding and what this expansion may mean to us.
The Meaning Of All This
As Wireless Internet Access Technologies evolves to new heights the Telecommunication Industry is not far behind with new faster running equipment to make our lives easier and less stressful. But the most meaningful aspect of all is as internet access broadens the businesses that need these services grow to new horizons.
Also as computers get increasingly smaller and cheaper more individuals will be able to do their business transactions anywhere they choose. So Wireless Laptop Internet Access will continue to change the way we do business for many years to come.

laptop vs. Desktop
- I'm not a heavy gamer or graphics person so a Laptop is ideal for me for all the obvious reasons (portability, wireless, work on the go, etc etc)
Major downside is the battery power and the cost to replace it - half as much as the cost of the laptop on my current IBM.
