Do You Have What It Takes To Become An Industry Leader?

When we think of the leaders in the home business industry we often "idolize" them and consider them an elitist group of people who possess specific attributes we do not. We look up to them as if they were special and have some extraordinary power that propelled them to expert status. The fact is they saw themselves as leaders long before they got there and did the dirty work necessary to achieve that end.

The truth is that leaders are no different than anyone else. They don't possess magical powers or a special mind. They start in the same place everyone else does and also deal with the same obstacles. The difference is that leaders take the necessary actions and do the work needed to become success stories. This isn't a magic formula or a get rich quick methodology, but a strong work ethic and a determination to achieve goals. The reason why there are so few leaders is because they do the things most people are not willing to do, such as making mistakes, overcoming obstacles and working smarter instead of harder. They take calculated risks and act in spite of their fears. This is what separates the men from the boys.

Leaders also see themselves as leaders even before they reach their goals. This mindset is crucial to achieving this status. All of the hottest techniques, tactics and self-help seminars will not make you a leader unless you believe it yourself. When you see people as greater than you are, it gives you the permission to come up with excuses as to why you have not worked towards the same goals. It keeps you locked in a jail cell of pity and inaction. Instead of looking within and working to remove your mental limitations, you often tell yourself your life is worse than theirs and you do not possess the skills to make it happen. This is far from reality. You are completely capable of becoming a leader!

Here is the real truth: The leaders you emulate had these exact same thoughts. Everyone goes through these thought processes. The fear of failure, making mistakes or a supposed lack of mental ability stops people from fulfilling their dreams. The fact is that whatever you put your mind to, you can accomplish. Research the greatest leaders in the industry and witness the obstacles they overcame to get where they are today. They are exactly like you, common people, but actually extraordinary not because of who they were, but because of what they believed and accomplished to get to where they are.

Re: The Best Method for Online Marketing Re: The Best Method for Online Marketing - Email marketing can be very successful there's little doubt about that. But you need to build a solid list of subscribers and build a strong relationship with them. It's all about give, give, give, and then you can promote something. Takes a lot of patience and hard work but it can definitely be worth it later on.
Blank text field might be better Blank text field might be better - Hi TheAnonymousMan, I like your idea! I'm assuming it would be similar to the status feature on Facebook where it might say "Kevin is ... " So I think having a blank text field in the profile box (and even "Leader" boxes on the left and top side of the forums if possible) might be more fun than just choosing from pre-set options from a drop down menu:D
Re: Twitter releasing real time analytics Re: Twitter releasing real time analytics - Hi Evan, Thanks you for the heads up on that, it will be interesting to see how the analytics works out but Twitter has had to evolve pretty quickly to keep pace with the requirements of the Industry so I suppose it was a natural development. regards, Mal.
