Growing Your Business

It is the end of the year! As companies enter the New Year and often a new fiscal year, it is time to evaluate how effective you have been at maintaining client relationships. Have you contacted your customers and clients? It’s time to think about putting together special offers and promotions. Consumers look forward to great deals during this season, and they will even save up and look for opportunities to spend money when they feel they are getting great value.

Think of ways you can offer something unique to your clients that will provide them value and generate the potential for additional contact.

If you’re a consultant you may think of giving a discount on an evaluation. For example, if you have a group of 10 clients for whom you wrote business plans, you may want to contact them with a 30 percent discount off a review of their plan progress and a plan retool for the upcoming year. This not only will give you a chance for another customer or client contact, which is the foundation of relationship building, it also gives you continued work: you are writing essentially a new plan which gives you the chance to incorporate future consulting opportunities into the plan as the timeline progresses.

More work equals more pay!

Be creative in your offerings.

You may not need to or cannot afford to simply discount goods. Keep in mind value does not necessarily equate to low price and you want to stay focused on providing the benefit that defines your company or product. A local spa owner that provides opportunities for and services to enhance relaxation may consider providing a free music download from a local artist specializing in meditative or tranquil sounds with every purchase of a 1 hour massage. This not only continues to provide the benefit of relaxation the client is looking for, it also provides a chance for you to partner and network with the artist, another business owner and prospect. It is possible for you to receive the music at no cost if you can express to that the artist the value of doing business with you through your client relationships.

Don’t let this critical time pass you by. Find ways to tap into the buying trends of the season and continue building your customer relationships and prospect base into the New Year.

God's Diet God's Diet - Very interesting, from both a health perspective and a marketing perspective. Growing up Mormon we were raised on The Word of Wisdom. No coffee, no tea, no junk food, no smoking, no drinking..etc. All good. But I think its harder and harder to find true, pure food these days. And lets face it, I'm not likely to start growing my own produce or keeping cattle..

I don’t know about b2b marketing but I have done marketing so know things about it. I will suggest you to take online services which will spread your business all over web network. Online marketing is the best way to market any business.[/quote:428owzbi] B2B = Business to Business - You are marketing to other businesses. B2C = Business to Consumer - You are marketing to consumers.
