Are you wanting to change or preserve your reality: 6 questions can change the course of your life (Part 1 of 3)

Are you supportable and can you successfully go the distance to attract what you want in life? Yes? No? Or it depends? Do you or someone close to you regularly communicate mixed messages, dig your heels, insist on impressing others, or ramble on with your story? If you answered “yes” to any of these latter habits, there is a good chance you are more focused on preserving your status quo, your current situation that is, than on growing out of it so that the quality of your life and your results can make a quantum leap. But there is still hope for you! You can begin to move from status quo to being consistently in the know about how to attract what you want in life starting today... if you are willing, wanting and intrinsically motivated to stretch. So, if you do want to change the course of your life for the better, go ahead... dare to experiment with these six secret questions, which will be divulged to you across three separate articles.

Secret Question #1: Do you say “stretching is not for me”?

Are you tight here?: When you have an opportunity to try something new, different or for a subsequent time, do you say: “that or it is not for me” or “been there, done that”? Also, if digging in your heels is something you habitually do, to the point where the shoemaker knows you on a first-name basis and asks you “which shoes is it this time?”, then you have the opportunity to grow into “bigger” shoes. As the saying goes, you will not know until you have tried and given it enough of a chance. Sure, you may feel uncomfortable at first and maybe even get blisters along the way. But without some constructive discomfort, you and your business and life will not grow out of your current circumstances. Yes, it is as simple as that. The trick is to learn how to do this effectively... with ease and efficiency. If you want to learn how to become a master stretcher (not the type they carry you out on), stick with me here.

Moving beyond your limitation: From now on, when you catch yourself answering a question without first reflecting on it with wide-eyed awareness, get curious about where the response is coming from: your conditioned, limiting self or your conscious, growing self? If and when your answer is quick — and especially if it feels like a hot button for you — then it is the perfect moment for you to do a pattern interrupt, as it is called in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). At that point, get clear about whether your line of thinking is ultimately adding to or removing life from you and those around you. Here is an example: You are listening to an inspirational speaker and you hear his advice: Follow your passions. All of a sudden, your conditioned self says: Stop being silly; you need to be practical and pay your bills. Well, many people get paid for their passions. It may not be on a full time basis initially. However, with patience, perseverance and belief in your self, fulfilling that dream will become a reality.

Secret Question #2: Are you open to stretching?

Are you tight here?: Choose one area of your life where you want to attract more abundance. In that area, do you mostly avoid pain or seek pleasure? If you tend to avoid pain, then you are preserving your reality. If you are more apt to seek pleasure, then you have stretch-ability and virtually anything is possible for you.

Moving beyond your limitation: Getting known in your area of expertise, target market, or company that you work for is an example of stretching. This process typically entails becoming (more) visible or assuming greater responsibility, and as a prerequisite, stretching who you are being and increasing your sphere of influence. While this change can expose you to a greater number and/or variety of professional opportunities, it also requires getting comfortable with being emotionally vulnerable. So, as with physical stretching, be prepared to be gentle with your self... to nurse your potential aches and pains during and between stretching sessions.

In the next article, Are you wanting to change or preserve your reality? (Part 2 of 3), get ready to learn two more life stretches to help you shift your direction and add to your prosperity and abundance. In the meantime, have fun with what “a-bun-dance” (Get it? This joke is a bit of a stretch!)

Re: Starbucks: Licensing vs Joint-Venture Re: Starbucks: Licensing vs Joint-Venture - Its "growing pains" on a successful franchise level. If you think about it, could anyone have actually ever predicted Starbuck's most recent outcome? They are now struggling to do something they did so well all along, simply change, or at least alter what direction they were headed. No matter what your idea of where your business should be is, for the future, outside determining factors will most certainly change - its your ability to change and follow the natural business course (if there is one) that then becomes significant. Simply, have a good idea of what it is you want to be in business, but don't force out change along the way. Adapt to it, or at least try and learn to adapt to the change.
Re: Why Rebrand Your Business? Re: Why Rebrand Your Business? - Agree, agree. haven't been happy with AlertPay for some time, problems such as credit cards, more than 1 lost deposit Assumed an ownership change but I find it a big change to change the name. It will now have to compete with other startup payment gateways. To do so means they will retain a name link to AlertPay, so why rebrand?
Re: "Diversity" Is Costing Us Dearly! Re: "Diversity" Is Costing Us Dearly! - Hi WendyGirl33, Thanks for this post. This is your 2nd post, not many have made such an impressive contribution to start with. Excellent. What can we say about this subject and be constructive. One thing is sure, nothing stays the same for ever. Trends change, fashions change, peoples perspective change etc. In fact we can never exhaust the continous changes that take place all around us. Many of the changes happen without us recognizing it until later; sometimes too late to stop it, if need be. PS, English is my second/third language. If you can write the above better, please do it an let me know. I want to learn to write better and better.
