Stop playing peekaboo and your ideal clients will hire you: 3 steps are all you need
When you stop playing peekaboo with your prospective clients, by allowing them to see the real you, they finally relate to, become interested in, and hire you. The secret is to show genuine interest in your prospects and allow them to see in your marketing message both your personal magnificence and your life messes. To help you get “there”, you will first need to identify your marketing masks, and secondly, the vulnerabilities or sensitivities you feel ashamed of showing your prospective clients. Then you will want to tell stories about your magnificence and messes, and specifically integrate them into your copywriting and online and offline public speaking.
Speaking of shame, facing and neutralizing it is key to attracting your ideal (energetically-aligned-to-the-higher-you) clients. Why? - Becauseshamehas an energy level of only 20, while peace has an impressive 600! Feeling empowered begins at an energy level of 200. What is the significance of these numbers? They show us that by consciously choosing empowering thoughts, which then influence the quality of emotions we feel, we create and enjoy more peace and prosperity and as such become shining examples for the ideal clients who will choose to follow us.
What is a “marketing mask”? It is the “you” that you choose to show the world through your marketing message, and hides the aspects of you that you do not like. To uncover those marketing masks, all you need are these 3 solid steps:
Step 1-- Look at the first list,The tough guy’s or gal’s cover, below and think about which ones you tend to notice in others. Then look at the corresponding number in the second list:The messy stuff the tough guy or gal does not want you to see.

These masks and corresponding emotions are highlighted in Debbie Ford’s book:The Dark Side of the Light Chasers: Reclaiming your power, creativity, brilliance, and dream.
You have now come to the most powerful part of this 3-step exercise:
Step 2-- For every mask that you notice someone else wearing, ask yourself if you are hiding behind the same mask. If that is the case, uncover: (1) what you are hiding and (2) why you are hiding “this” from others. Here is an example to guide you through this step:
The marketing mask that your prospective clients see: the cheerfulness
What your prospective clients do not see: the sadness. Specifically, you are not wanting your prospective clients that you are like other humans: you experience not just up but also down moments. You are afraid that they will not unconditionally accept you and as a result, will refrain from hiring you. In reality, you are projecting your own lack of unconditional love onto your prospects. So, guess what? Your next personal growth opportunity is to learn and practice loving all of you, including your rainbow of emotions. Once you do, you will become magnetic to your ideal clients.
Step 3-- Begin to embrace and befriend what you are ashamed of, so that it becomes a non-issue. Dare to be your “whole” self, in all of your marketing. You will see that even though you may feel more vulnerable, your life will become that much more enjoyable and easy – and you will begin to attract more of the people – in your professional and personal life – who are a perfect fit for you!
Now it is your turn to drop your marketing masks. Simply follow the 3 steps above and you and your new clients will be walking arm in arm toward that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow of your respective emotions.
