2 Ways To Create Fresh Content For Your Website
If you want your website to rank well in the Search Engines, the
thing to remember is that content is king and Google likes fresh
content, but it also looks for depth of content…
How often do you
add new content to site? Do you have a schedule for producing new
content? If not, it’s now time to get that schedule in place and start
improving your website rankings.
Stuck on what to write to about? Here’s some headline ideas that might get the creative juices flowing:
1. Top 5 tips for improving xxxxxx
2. 6 biggest mistakes yyyyyy make when xxxxx
3. 8 Top Questions all new yyyy have about xxxxx
I’m sure you’re getting the picture…. the number doesn’t matter – it could be 2, 5, 10…
The thing is, use your key phrase in these heading to pique interest of your readers and improve your search engine rankings.
Once
you have your headline, I recommend keeping the ‘articles’ to between
300 and 500 words long, and using the ‘key phrase’ from your headline no
more than twice per 100 words.
What I mean, is that if you say
Top 5 Tips To Use New Content To Improve Search Engine Rankings… the
keyphrase is Improve Search Engine Rankings.
When you write your article, use the term ‘improve search engine rankings’ no more than twice in every 100 words….
At
the end of each article, you could then mention one of your specific
products or services that will provide more information and assistance.
Or not…. sometimes, more is less.
The trick is to not give all
the information, but enough to be helpful but leave them wanting more,
and show how they can get more help.
You should notice that many sites often provide information a number of times, in different ways.
That’s
because sometimes it needs to be said several times, and sometimes a
different way of saying it will get a different audience.
A second
hot tip is to use something you may have seen in a magazine that you
can equate to your industry… For example, if I was to to see an article
about Demi Moore’s view of parenting (and this is just an example), I
could use a headline like – Why Demi Moores’ wrong about Parenting. I
would acknowledge the magazine article and then go on to explain why she
IS or ISN’T wrong…. The headline alone will make people want to read,
the content will compel them to read on.
So start today – get a
calendar and plan out your new content for the next three months. Write
your draft headlines and then use these as your inspiration in the
coming weeks, you’ll be surprised at how easy it becomes.
