Entrepreneurs: The New Superheroes

Guest post by: Lori Webb

Article Overview: Entrepreneurs are the new superheroes of the 21st Century. As has always been the case, entrepreneurship, is what has always saved the world. Entrepreneurs empower skills that create hope; innovate ideas; engage the masses to change their behaviors. They are the dual personalities that use their abilities for the good of all.

Entrepreneurs: The New Superheroes

While in NYC, I happened by the Daily News and thought of Clark Kent, or more aptly, I thought of Superman.

For some strange reason on that particular day, at that particular time, I came to the realization that in today's world, entrepreneurs are the dual personalities that are saving the world.

As I glanced, at the inconspicious protective plague that heralded "Clark Kent's" building, I thought of how many other buildings, unknowingly, housed undercover members of the world super league.

For don't let the mild- mannered exterior of many an entrepreneur fool you, they do, in fact, behold the super powers that will save the world. They always have and always will.

So what do these super powers include: Super "vision" and supervision- An ability to see the future and an ability to set things in motion to realize it.

Super strength- An ability to stick to their guns and follow their intuition when they are surrounded by doubt.

Super speed- An ability to act....with lightning speed when critical, time sensitive issues must be determined.

Super service- An ability to understand that what they do is a calling and to know that that calling also comes with a responsibility to serve.

Super tools- The existing gadgets of the 21st century so outrank anything that the Marvel team had conceived just a century ago that it is mindboggling. The ability to use these tools well is an important power in and of its itself.

Super league--- An ability to leverage relationships, to collaborate, to share, to assist, to support, to teach and to learn.

As they go about their business, in the service or product industries, the entrepreneur creates value, innovation, jobs and inspiration for today’s society and tomorrow’s future.

They provide a platform for others to collaborate and build upon. They solve environmental, social and economic problems on a daily basis all under the guise of business as usual.

It’s not an easy job but, it is probably one of the most rewarding endeavors upon which one will ever embark.

The 21st Century is in need of superheroes...

Are you ready to acknowledge and embrace your space?

CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.

It just makes me even more thankful to be part of this forum! After helping create a new charity for animals in my local community last year, I created a vision for a charity empowering Women Entrepreneurs. It won't happen for a while yet, but I know it is something I will do within the next few years. As we allow ourselves to think bigger, the opportunity to impact people becomes much bigger as well. Does anyone else have a desire to really make a difference in the world through this means?
