Adrenaline is Addictive

Do you go from one crisis to the next? Do you long for more balance in your life yet find yourself waiting until the push of adrenaline to start a project? Do you promise yourself you will start earlier next time but seldom do?

You’re not alone. Many of us associate the rush of adrenaline when in a crisis with a sense of accomplishment. Working with a client recently, we discovered he was only feeling satisfaction in his business when he had multiple projects going at the same time. Much of his time was spent worrying or fussing about how he would get it all done.

He would crash and burn regularly only to repeat the process. His business had staff turnover and life was pretty stressful at home. If this sounds like you there is a better way.

 Recognize your patterns
 Understand you associate results with adrenaline
 Adrenaline can be addictive
 Adrenaline doesn’t get things done – work does
 Slow down regularly
 Work with a coach

The client I mentioned has completely revamped his life. He is now much calmer and peaceful but the amazing part (to him) is that he actually gets more done and his business is growing faster!
