Stressed Out or Stressed In?
Stressed Out or Stressed In?
Think of two people on their drive to work stuck in traffic. Person A is sitting in his car, face flushed his blood pressure rising from his attempts to direct other motorists using an assorted selection of profanities and dramatic hand signals. He lets other motorists know that he’s not happy. Person A arrives at work agitated and angry.
Person B is also sitting in his car in the same situation. He instead decides to accept the inevitability of the situation. He uses the time to mentally prepare for the day ahead, to listen to audio tapes, or sing along to some favorite tunes. Person B arrives at work ready for his day feeling motivated and energized.
Both of these scenarios are a reaction to stress. One person opts to be stressed out the other person opts to be stressed in, to accept it. Next time you feel ready to stress out, stop, breath and see if you can stay stressed in and make some positive choices.
Stress is inevitable but our reaction to it is up to us!

We’ve all heard the expression “stressed out”. Stress is often referred to as the silent killer. Stress is not the real killer, it’s how we deal with the stress.
