The "O" Zone

You know you are in the O zone when you find yourself off track, forgetful, rambling, short tempered, sleepless, frustrated, anxious, moody and not getting anything done. Does this sound familiar? I find the majority of my coaching clients are in the O zone, completely overwhelmed.
How does one combat these real stresses and survive?
1. Writing it down really helps. Chart it and quite often it doesn’t look as bad on paper.
2. Select one area to work on first and put a time limit on it. Today my priority is or for the next week my focus is, and stick to it.
3. Start with baby steps. Keep it simple, start with actions you can achieve easily. You want to set yourself up for success.
4. Remember, it took awhile for you to get the O zone, don’t expect to change it in a day.
5. Ask for help, delegate tasks, look for other solutions.
6. Be gentle with yourself, you already feel beat up, don’t add to it.
7. Understand when we in the O zone we think things are worse than they really are. Solutions are always closer than we think.
8. Stay positive – watch what you say to yourself and others.
9. Face your fear and name it. Is it a fear of failure or a fear of not being good enough?
10. Look at the times in the past when you felt this way and things you did that helped then.

Understand we all pass through the O zone. Success measured by the length of the visits. Work with a coach and learn more about the patterns and beliefs that pull you there!
