Fire your Coach

As a personal coach, I hold an intention to help clients find their inner coach, their true authentic voice. My goal is simple: to get fired! The intention I hold is that my clients learn to soar with their own wind beneath their wings – they no longer need the support of the coaching relationship - for they have tapped in, tuned in, and turned on their Inner Coach guidance system.

Connection Coaching is a process I was led to that took me on my own personal journey of finding my inner coach. The process includes tools and techniques to assist clients in becoming fully activated with a higher calling. Some will call this their intuitive, wise sage, higher self, angels, guides, God, or inner being. Whatever label selected, it is a manner of learning how to access the guidance system innate in us all that leads us to a feeling of fulfillment and authenticity in life.

Coaching with spirit aligns clients with greater inner power as they see their passion come to fruition and they discover their purpose for the current or future chapter of their life. The benefit for tapping in to one’s own guidance system is the connection you feel with wisdom, safety, and a personal power that has been described by some as centered, great patience, and positive energy. There is also a unique harmony that occurs as lives become whole, not divided into roles we play with separate and distinct personas. Imagine the amount of stress and associated illnesses that would dissipate in Corporate America if this division of roles were to end.

There is an awakening occurring, as more clients are seeking to turn on and turn up their personal power through coaching. How does this awakening begin? At first it is restlessness that is palpable, perhaps a performance factor or dissatisfaction with the job, their position, or life balance. Sometimes it’s because someone else is shaking their tree and causing the fruit to fall. Eventually, it turns into a search for meaning and a quest for current purpose and passion – I identify this as a re-igniting of a person’s work spirit. When the connection is made, it’s just a matter of learning how to tap into it regularly and turn it on to keep the guidance factors flowing. When this happens, it’s obvious by all who interact with the person on a regular basis (coworkers, friends, significant other). The client notices evidence and validation showing up on a regular basis, and life activities occur with more ease, serenity and trust or faith. As a coach, I like to think we’ve just turned on their heart light.

This inner coach guidance system is in all of us. We come to know it as a part of our intuition. We are all born with an intuition - the ability to know something without knowing how you know. Unfortunately cultivating this form of intelligence is outside most normal processes for how our culture teaches us to 'know' something. The propensity towards rational, linear methods of problem solving has muted the voice of intuition in Corporate America because of our inability to substantiate our thought or feeling with some tangible source. Yet the human system possesses a high level of operational intuitive intelligence. The accelerated age in which we live demands that we optimize it. The kinds of personal and organizational breakthroughs that are needed to move though the inertia and the old ways of doing things will not come from an analysis that is based primarily on past experience. The development of intuition is the next frontier in optimizing human performance. Ask your heart how to have more of it. And don't feel silly when you get answers.

How often did ignoring your intuition, that inspiring voice within, lead you astray? You may notice that I distinctly called it the “inspiring voice,” not to be confused with the critical committee or your personal gremlin that we generally give our attention to. That gremlin voice always comes from a place of fear, lack and ego. It does indeed, when followed, lead you astray. Oh, you may have experienced a small victory when you heeded the gremlin’s call, but did you win the admiration and respect in the larger scope of life? Would you want to be known for that tactic or strategy, that action you took in your eulogy? Or here’s a better question, would you want your child following exactly in your footsteps? Your true guidance system, the inner coach, always encourages you to some form of action, and it is always positive in nature. It never tells you to “don’t do this.” Your guidance system will inspire you to “turn here, call this person, and remember to stop at…” Sometimes we interpret it as “don’t turn there,” but in reality it is guiding us to an action that is beneficial and positive for us. “Don’t turn there” is inaction. Understand the difference.

This is your guidance factor and that’s the discernment clients make when they are tapping into its use. The biggest challenge is one of doubt and fear that is created when it is second-guessed. But as they tap in and turn it on, following the inspired actions, they find that they are not straying into waters of turmoil nearly as much as before. Instead, they are sailing into oceans of bliss – that place of harmony, inner peace, and personal power. They have found their heart light and it is shining like a beacon from within, illuminating their path. So go on, tap in, tune in, and turn on your beacon of light for all to see!

Re: Business Coaching Resources Re: Business Coaching Resources - You're fortunate when you can find a Business Coach who has experience beyond where you've been and even where you are going. When your budget is slim and even after, it's good to have a mentor. Several of various backgrounds are very useful. They can be teachers, professors, pastors, business people, family members, bosses and former bosses. You have to be clear on what you want and what you desire to achieve, be able to convey it as simply as possible. Stop and listen and don't over tax their time. You should always expect results whether from a Business Coach or Mentors. If you're not gtting results, you're either not focused or you need to upgrade the quality of your mentors/coaches. Always surround yourself by people smarter than you.
Post subject: Too successful for a mate? Post subject: Too successful for a mate? - That was an interesting article, Shri! Most of the women I know who continue to be single have some type of self limiting behavior which interferes with them either meeting or attracting the perfect mate for them. They are incredible and talented women, they just haven't set themselves up for relationship success. I know there are men who may be intimidated, but there are also men who aren't. Some men are attracted to smart women! My advice to these women would be to focus on creating the right environment for a relationship to happen. This would be a great time to hire a Life Coach or Relationship Coach. Taking action to get ready for a relationship doesn't mean having to be aggressive in finding a man. It's more subtle. If you don't make room for a man in your life, you might just squeeze out the opportunity before he gets to you. As well, you may be sending off all the wrong signals without realizing it. Seriously, I don't think successful women are off the proverbial "good wife material list". However, if you think yourself off of it then don't be surprised if you fulfill your own prophecy.
Re: Want to be a published author? Re: Want to be a published author? - Thanks for sharing some options out there for us, Ladies! I'm one of those people who have a number of books in the works, but haven't quite finished them yet... I think I need to bring this up with my own Coach, but that's another story! *LOL* Anyhow, it's nice to know what I can do about it all when I'm ready. Shri, I'll keep you in mind when the time comes! Thanks again, Tami
Re: Urban market promotion Re: Urban market promotion - [quote="myownboss":38izvbws]This could be interesting - how can we learn more about your service?[/quote:38izvbws] Depending on what your particular product or service is, there are a number of possible vehicles. At this time, I'm working on an Urban Music related tour across Canada, which would be an interesting opportunity for an entrepreneur, company or business group to align their product or service with this concept. Fire me off an email to discuss this in more detail: info@soundsupremacy.com. Cheers.
