Dealing With Fear – 3 Ways To Help You When Dealing With Fear

How would you feel if one day you told your best friend or spouse something you are very excited about, something you are very about of, and the response you got was far from encouraging, one such as: "Big deal" or "So what" or how about "That's absurd! You of all people couldn't manage that" or worse yet "I don't believe you. You're not good enough to accomplish something as big as that". How would you feel? Would you feel jubilant or dejected?

These negative statements, when repeated often, have the potential of creating within you the fear of failure. Such negative statements become your beliefs, those that you will deem as true about you, and especially more so if they came from someone you admire and respect. They have the power to create within you serious barriers to success and accomplishment in all areas of your life.

The fear of failure can sabotage your chances of progress in life by becoming your unproductive core belief that will halt you from achieving the things you want in life.

Here are three ways to help you when dealing with fear:

1. Repeatedly say to yourself that you welcome all problems and challenges. You are ready and willing to receive them. Challenge yourself to your utmost ability. And as you overcome the challenge make sure you reward yourself.

2. Be committed to give your all, to give 100 percent to what you set out to accomplish. Should any negative thoughts surface, stop them as soon as you become consciously aware of the by saying, "Cancel. Cancel. Cancel." And then replace those negative thoughts with positive ones.

3. As often as you can be the best that you can. Act and behave in a successful manner, as one who has achieved success. This may not be in the physical form yet, but it will be your reality in due course. By having that success mindset, dealing with fear becomes easy for you, and you will eliminate the fear of failure that was once holding you back.
