Stand up to the monsters that are holding back your success

The first monster is fear.

It is simply not the done thing today to name our fears and deal with them now is it? All of us are afraid of the unknown, but instead of telling the fear like it is, we hide and blame others or say that something is impossible to do.

In the safe pair of hands of a good coach you can make magical things happen, what seems impossible suddenly becomes achievable.

The second monster is control.

Many of us are in roles in which we are expected to take control of a situation - parent, carer, teacher, youth leader, manager, business owner, whatever? Effective leadership today however requires people to give up control and share power with those who have been denied it in the past. The first step here is to invite those who have been out to join us at the table. By asking the problems to be part of the solution, we will enter into powerful partnerships for change. We need to support everyone to see what needs to be done, to take ownership of the situation, to help solve the problem and go off to take control over whatever it is that needs to be done. By sharing control we empower both ourselves and our new partners. Everyone wins.

Using organisational development tools can help you face up to the Control Monster.

The third monster is change.

Change, though inevitable, scares us all. We fear change. We are always more comfortable with the status quo. Through working with the Enfys Acumen you can make the change you want explicit, face the fear and then give up the old controls that stop you from moving forward.

Don't let these old monsters hold you back get in touch with the Enfys Acumen today. It does not where in the world you are, we can offer you an organisational development and coaching that can meet your needs.

Re: PR2 FINNALLY Re: PR2 FINNALLY - I submitted to a bunch of directories and got some links to pr1,2 sites. Nothing crazy. I also did a good bit of onsite seo like making sure 301s were there and tags and just all the stuff you could find easily to do. I need way more content though. that is now holding me back.
Fundraising for school activities such as sports, clubs Fundraising for school activities such as sports, clubs - About a month ago, there was a two week time span when I entered my local Walmart, and saw a bunch of kids (with an adult supervisor) stationed outside each door asking for donations for their track team, or their swim team. (Never saw one for a debating or science club, but they may have been out there.) They weren't selling anything - no cookies, no candybars - just asking for donations. And I felt sorry for 'em because most people were just walking on by, so I contributed a dollar each time. But it got me to thinking.... was this really good training for the younger generation? Stand outside stores 'guilting' people into contributing to their wants, but without giving anything in return (ie those cookies or candybars.) And usually every weekend I drive by people standing by the side of the road holding up signs advertising car washes, again presumably sponsored by an organization in order to earn money. And I remember reading somewhere that these types of events rarely do make money. (Especially when any signs pointing people to them are usually so small and illegible that drivers can't even read them and drive on by in frustration...) What activities can kids do to earn money for their school, that isn't equivalent to begging? Moving lawns, dog walking... what? Should they form an entrepreneurial group and do something that way?
Cool Contest Cool Contest - Hi SageMediaDesign, That's a pretty cool contest you're holding! Can I ask what you hope to gain from starting up this group on Facebook? And do you plan on advertising your contest on other online business communities like LinkedIn.com or Zoodango.com? Furthermore, when will your final draw be held? Please keep us updated on your success with this marketing idea. Thanks
Re: Voice/Fax broadcasting....what do you think? Re: Voice/Fax broadcasting....what do you think? - Just tried the voice broadcast. It gave very poor results. Hit thousands of people with the message with few leads. However I hit 2500 people with the same message on a postcard mailer and I got some response but not much. I think everyone is just holding back until they know what to do next.
Re: Those Annoying Telemarketers Re: Those Annoying Telemarketers - Good one GT! My father has a similar one: "Hi leave a message and I won't call you back, thanks" Hi Matt, Caller ID is great, when you look at the phone screen. I don't bother holding the phone next to me. Mobile phones have the option to change the ringtone for different people, that's how I make the difference between, mom, dad, husband, friends and leeches.
